So I finally read to the end of the last book. It amazes me Artland's adaptation stayed true to the story, plot and dialogue from start to finish. So, so few differences.

And yet, this is one of the very, very few times, when the adaptation can transcend it's source material. Happens very rarely, but it's the case here. The books are great, a must read for any fan of space opera, but there's just something about the job Artland and Noboru Ishiguro did, that just gave it that extra one percent.

I think it's a not too subtle attempt at trolling.

I would guess that too, but you can't be so sure these days. Poe's Law and so on.

Anyways, this was an outstanding finale to this great saga.

It's wonderful to see we finally have a complete English translation of LotGH novels after all these year to introduce it to the western readers. Hopefully the good words spread. By comparison, the Chinese translation is published here in Taiwan about 20 years ago, talk about being late to the party. The cover art for the English version is really gorgeous though. It carries the style from the Golden Age of sci-fi, the likes of which similar Asimov's and Clarke's books.

Just noticed that I still got a picture of it online

It might sound crazy, but you can buy it off of Amazon (digital as well), Book Depository, book stores, or other retailers :/

MAL is far from being my primary site for literature, which is why I’ve stopped doing single-chapter updates. Baka-Updates and two French sites are far superior—more detailed, complete, and less restrictive. They're perfect for manga, light novel, and book collectors like me, making the process much less stressful and tiring. -g-
