Loved every thing about this episode. The fighting, the plotting, the little details like when they all where in the tent discussing what happened and why Askeladd let Gunnar go and the scene begins with the perspective from the spider web, fantastic.

I really enjoyed Bjorns and Askeladds duel with each other.
My favorite episode so far, it's amazing. Askeladd is such an interesting character to me.

As expected, Leif didn't find what he expected. Thorfinn can't think rationally right now, no way he agrees to go back to Iceland. I wonder if he'll ever go to Vinland, that's basically North America and the show's been kinda historically realistic. I don't think Vikings ever went there. I think it's just a metaphor for a peaceful world.

Bjorn dies, probably the only person Askeladd would feel bad about killing. At least he acknowledged him as a friend at the end.

And Thorfinn vs Askeladd again. If Askeladd dies here, Canute is done for.

Thorfinn got reunited with his past. In a strange way though did he ever really leave his past? Askeladd had to slay his 1 and only true friend which is unfortunate. Thorfinn is finally getting the duel he has been craving for so long but he is destined to lose. The fact he didn't even let his arm heal is evidence he hasn't learned to control his emotions. Just realised that these guys r having a Cold War.

Cnut's stand-in was so pretty for a slave. It's a shame that she died. Or maybe she survived?

Thorfinn is so consumed by vengeance he doesn't care about the family he has left. Something tells me he's gonna regret not visiting his mom and sister someday.

Bjorn is aware that he is dying and wants to die a warrior to go to Valhalla. Asatru is such a badass religion! The scene of Askeladd telling him that he is his friend was touching.

Tbh so far Thorfinn feels like unnecessary and somewhat out of place addition to the story of real main character: Askeladd.
