| Several reasons I suppose. While not a remake, it's an adaptation of something already adapted, so it doesn't attract crowd like fresh adaptations. In the same way, it's an adaptation of an old manga, not the latest manga. It's an adaptation of a gag manga, not the latest 2edgy4you shounen manga. It's super popular in Japan but barely known in the west. While it's good, hype factors rely on all the above, so of course it would largely be ignored. All this also explains why the new Gegege no Kitarou is widely ignored since it's in a similar position, but worse in a way since it spans something like a hundred episode. |

| Because people have bad taste. How can Konosuba be so popular when this does its job so much better? It manages to be a gag manga while at the same time having serious bits that make you actually feel and care about the characters, something that Konosuba didn't manage to do. |
| Only 7000 MAL people having seen this is too little compared to all other anime... I am very sad :( Maybe Guru Guru was drowned by the other anime coming out at the time? There was Kakegurui and Made in Abyss according to MAL. I hope more people watch it one day :((( |

| it is mainly because nobody knew about it, unlike me who have grown watching the Doki Doki Densetsu series when I was less than 3 yrs old in the early 2000s |
| cleaning up my "anime lists" Saw I last stopped this at episode 2, LOL Had to check summaries and thread to remember what this series was about. Guess watching 1 episode back in 2017 didn't leave much of an impression... maybe that's the reason why there aren't many ppls watching/ knowing this series. |
