| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- It turned out it is one of those rare cases where the supporting characters become more developed and, subsequently, way more interesting. Haru is just to pure for his own good. I really feel like he was robbed out of his innocence there, and I am most certainly -Not- talking about sexual relations. It is just his approach for life, in the little things, like secretly crushing on a friend. And of course, the eternal self-worth question. Don't we all, sometimes, feel inadequate? Admitting those feelings, even to yourself, is hard enough. Asking this another person, and while doing so making yourself so vulnerable, takes a great amount of strength or despair. I could feel both there. So all that, and the simple goodness of his heart, make Haru the most interesting character here, in my opinion. Like, you can't help but root for him. What did you guys thing of the haircut? Too cliche? Or was it symbolic in a good way? I know one thing and it's the fact I'm going to miss the braided Haru :( That almost-rape scene from the last chapter was painful to read. I feel like I've actually loved and really felt for Aki up until that point. I don't think that he's making up for his ungodly behavior right now either. He turned into this sort of character that just takes advantage, without thinking how could this hurt the person in front of him. Especially when he know that Haru likes him. His Ex did pretty much the same to him. It is hard to let go, even, or maybe even more so, when it is a toxic relationship like that. I'd expect Aki to be the bigger person and leave Haru alone after the incident, but instead of that he did the exact same thing that his ex has done. Disappointing, really. We haven't seen much of the main couple lately, but it's okay, I love the phase! On a more general note, I love this manga so far. I am a highly cynical person, and therefore I am not a sucker for sob stories or angst. This one here was developed beautifully though. The tempo is good, nothing feels rushed. I can really feel the emotions of the characters (and maybe that's why it is hard for me to read it, sometimes.) Can hardly wait for more of this! |

| I realised, that I was utterly unable to truly see Akihiko up until now. I guess, in the end, I can’t bring myself to hate him. Haruki & Akihiko’s relationship always makes me cry. Hits so close to home. |

| I related to Haruki's difficulty with music while others around him seem to be able to do things do easily. I was always really good at music, but after a certain point when I'd be in groups or classes, I'd realize others were on a different level than me in terms of their thinking. In terms of Haruki amd Akihiko's relationship, even though I'm okay with fictional relationships being mind if messy, I really think things got resolved a little too quickly after Akihiko practically raped Haruki. I liked their relationship before, but now I'm a bit uncomfortable with it. |
