| First thing that separates Heaven's Feel from UBW is the prologue. In UBW, Archer deflects Saber's attacks and then Shirou uses his command spell to stop Saber, so Rin is saved. In Fate and Heaven's Feel, Saber mercilessly slashes Archer and drives Rin to a corner. Then Rin uses her strongest magic against Saber (which she collected for 10 years and even Shirou comments it to be on an entirely different level), but Saber deflects it like it's nothing. At that moment, Rin realizes that the strongest servant (that she originally wanted to summon) is standing before her and as Saber is about to kill Rin, the prologue ends and we get to see Shirou's side of story which brings suspense and thrill to the story. What happened to Rin? Furthermore, Rin's expression before she is about to be killed and how even though she is going to die, she can't help, but accept her fate and be mesmerized by the elegance/power/appearance of her enemy. All those scenes were fantastic! And what happened to those scenes? They fast-forwarded it! Instead of those canon scenes, we get fillers. What do you guys think? Is Ufotable doing justice to Fate franchise? Or could they have done better? As a VN reader who completed all the routes and bad ends, I must say I am disappointed! |

| We've already seen those scenes plenty of times before, no need to retread the same ground...again. Besides, they only have the equivalent of 17 regular episodes this time around unlike UBW which had almost double that length. Also, you should already know from their UBW adaptation that you should keep your expectations in check and not expect the moon out of the new trilogy. |

What I am saying is:- >Skip everything that happened in UBW's prologue >Show Rin's perspective of how she met Saber in Heaven's Feel and how she was staring death in the face >Then just before Saber is about to kill Rin, move onto Shirou's perspective and add all those canon Sakura scenes that were in HF >Then skip to the part where Saber confronts Rin (skip Lancer vs Archer and all the scenes that already happened in UBW) and finally continue the story from there. At least that's what the VN did and it made the story way more exciting tbh. I was thrilled and the suspense boosted my excitement. Yeah, just noticed that. Currently watching the movie. Last night, I only watched till 30 mins. After that I felt sleepy lol I edited my original post and removed that part |

| @Shayon Tbh I too hated her even though I read the VN. I loved her in Fate and UBW, but I came to hate her in Heaven's Feel. That's why I wanted to complete the Normal Ending first instead of the True ending 'cause I believed Sakura doesn't deserve a happy ending. But after completing the Normal Ending, my heart was broken. Sakura's devotion to Shirou almost made me tear up. That ending made me love her so much. I believe Nasu wrote that ending in order to tell the readers that she in fact really loved Shirou. After that, I played the true ending and I was satisfied. Let's see how Ufotable adapts her character. |

The only reason why "secondaries" will hate her is because those "secondaries" will be bunch of nice guys and white knights whining about every female character EVER. Correction: whining about every female character THAT IS NOT PURE MAIDEN ever. |

| Like UBW, the movie was a decent adaptation covered in decorative eye candy. I personally dont really see anything particularly wrong with the movie skimming through the early stuff in the first 3 days and I think UFO establishes Sakura/Shirou's relationship well enough in the first 20 minutes. Only thing I didn't like was them skipping over Zouken's dialogue and rearranging Illya scenes(lost butterfly is gonna be rushed asf since they'll probably end it at day 14). |
