Oh yes that route order is absolutely mandatory. This post explains it in more details. Not following that order would be like reading Heaven's feel first without reading Fate/ubw routes, since routes are not locked here unlike Fate.

Would have been even better if you started umineko ;)

But yeah you will probably like it since it has some similarities with Fate. I think for the first part of Dies Irae, Mercurius monologue is the most important scene at the very start of the novel, it gives a few ideas about how the concept of "foreknowledge' forms the central theme of it. Those are not some bad guesses, but yeah a lot to uncover since this is a multiple route mystery novel.

Kasumi's route is the first one you have to read anyway(it's compulsory since that's the best way to read it), you can find the order and walkthrough here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=937653508 (remember to read the side stories too in the order as mentioned there)

Bungou sounds like it could be a mix of battle shounen and mystery from the synopsis,

its like
5% mystery, the only mystery is the equivalent of calling something like jojo part 3 mystery

it gets good when it becomes hitman reborn
Wolowizard May 8, 6:06 AM
I don't know what do you intend for "mystery", but it's not a detective series. It's more a sort of "FMA", it has battles and lore.

Bungou Stray Dogs is really good, the first season is a bit slow but the second half has some cool scenes and the second season is simply awesome. Hitoribocchi is better than what I had anticipated.

Tsundere are nice. IRL they are annoying as fuck, that's why I like the idealized anime version. I'll probably start the second season of Kaleid right away since there are no anime that I want to watch right now.

Are you going to watch just SNK this season?

Wolowizard May 7, 12:44 PM
Saber? Wut? She's literally garbage. I've always wondered how can ppl like her.

Btw I like magical girls.
Wolowizard May 7, 10:38 AM
Neh, I still think that Tohsaka is the best grill (Ilya is the second) and I like Shirou's growing process in UBW, but HF is so fcking contort and I could finally have some good scenes for Kirei.
Wolowizard May 6, 11:57 AM
Woh, finally managed to finish FSN, the world building is so better in the novel. And Heaven's Feel was really good, probably my favourite route.
Wolowizard Apr 25, 10:05 AM
One of my problem with the visual novels is that I obviously chose the route that I repute the best when I play it the first time, and after finishing the game once I usually don't have the willingness to play it again 'cause I already did what in my opinion are the "best choises". Fortunatelly Fate has 3 routes that have a determined progression and it doesn't bore. I was also interested in the Fate spin offs, most of them seems just trash to me, but Fate strange fake is from the same autor of Baccano so I was wondering if it was worth reading (if it can be found in english).
