I wonder why people out there think this kind of shit will actually work.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

They might do it but i doubt will be so soon i would expect at least 4 years or even longer, take full metal alchemist and Brotherhood as an example it was 6 years for a reboot.

But that was unlikely to happen.
All weebs creatures of the galaxy, hear this message. Those of you who listen will not be struck by western animation. You will no longer know hunger, nor pain. Your Anime have come to lead you now. Our strength shall serve as a luminous sun toward which all intelligence may blossom. And the impervious shelter beneath which you will prosper. However, for those who refuse our offer and cling to their western animation ways… For you, there will be great wrath.

Well it probably won't happen, but they did it with hunter x hunter, so it still has a chance.

I think you guys have misunderstood the aim here.

You see, when tasked with producing the adaptation of Tokyo Ghoul:re, the executives at Pierrot asked one another "how can we once and for all, beget the viewer to understand just how much pain and suffering Kaneki has endured throughout the story?" And with that, they tasked themselves with the job of producing a truly awful adaptation that would instill in the viewer an experience of such misery it would wholly deepen our connection to our poor protagonist's plight.

As of :re's adaptation, Tokyo Ghoul's thematic elements have transcended traditional boundaries of storytelling, in essence, making this a most elaborate example of meta-fiction.

11/10. Anime of the Century. Master Satoshi Kon is smiling upon Pierrot from heaven.

Maybe in like 10 years a competent studio will remake it but Japan doesn't care about others. That being said I can't imagine the Japanese are too happy with this and they might actually get listened to. That being said I don't think Madhouse would be a good fit, maybe Whitefox since they have good animation and will actually follow the story well or Wit since they're pretty solid and this falls into their humans vs monsters niche.

Japan stopped caring about the anime ages ago. Only Americans are this much obsessed by animated adaptions over source materials.
