| lol I can't believe there's at least 4 people, as of this time of posting, voted for Utako and had read the manga. But Hitomi is definitely best girl, best mom, best boss, best angel and a god. While Anzu is best daughter. |

| After finishing the manga I can say with absolute certainty that Hitomi is the best Hinamatsuri girl. |

| At the end of it all, 19 volumesz, I have to pick Hina by elimination... Loved Anzu (nearly every Anzu chapter got me crying), but at the end, she just stopped developing as a person somewhere. Everyone being a yes-man to her didn't help. I DON'T NEED CHARITY! Still best daughter, no cap. I love her design too. Hitomi is a badass gag character, and makes the story revolve around her. I am sure the author had a lot of fun with her storylines (her chapters in the first half were terrific). At the end, she's more of a freak who's not grounded in reality anymore, escaping the plane of the admirable passionate learner to a dimension I couldn't care less about. Poor Mao! She was a third wheel in all sorts of ways. I hope she can find her own dreams and not get more sucked into whatever Atsushi is aiming for. Utako was never in my radar. She does become the most relatable character at the second half. I think manga Hina > anime Hina. She really is someone who doesn't want to stress herself into doing anything, even thinking. But the way she supports Nitta, gets the memes done, tries her best to give a f**k and very slowly develops into a well-rounded character by the end of the series is a great experience in itself. |
