What I want to ask is when I finish Koi to Uso anime, should I read the manga from beginning or continue from where the anime stopped its adaptation? Would I be missing something interesting or important if I didn't start from the beginning? Also please don't spoil anything because I've only seen 7 episodes.

chapters are short btw, like 5-6 pages per chapter usually, so i dont think it will take much time to read. But no, you dont need to read it from the start as anime is mostly the same, but there are differences, well you have to see them for yourself so i dont spoil anything, but nothing major major

You wouldn't necessarily be missing too much info from watching the anime, at least for most of it. Closer to the end tho the anime did switch around some events in the timeline, and obviously there's an anime original-ending.

My recommendation is to read the whole manga again, since it's a pretty good series and you'll pick up on some details that the anime left out. If you don't want to do that however, at least pick up the manga at around chapter 90 or so.

The anime did chop up some events in prep for that premature anime-original ending. It's mostly only closer to the wedding where it goes completely animd original, so reading from there is fine.

That said, the manga is ridiculously short, so it wouldn't take you long to go from the start anyways
I'm not a lolicon, you're just projecting your tendency to lewd 2D characters.

If your favourite character is Tsutsukakushi Tsukiko, you are my soul mate.

Been a long time since I've been here, I'll continue expressing myself freely and believe everyone should too.

mal lists all written works as manga but divides them into light novel or manga if you look closer

Of course. You should read all manga since the beginning since those are two different media.

You look closer. It's clearly visible that it's labeled as a manga.

Yeah but under the "type" section of the listing's page it will say whether it's a light novel or a manga. In this circumstance it says "Manga."

This is for Koi to Uso:

This is for Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria which is absolutely, by all accounts, a light novel:

Correct. When you search for light novels on MAL it falls under "manga." But it's a manga and not a light novel. Do you know what a manga is? Do you know what a light novel is?

"light visual novel[s]" are not a thing.

Manga = Japanese comics
Light Novels = Short Japanese Novels
Visual Novels = Video games

Koi to Uso is a comic by every sense of the phrase to anyone who knows what comics are. It is exactly like every other actual manga I've ever looked at. How is it not a manga? How is it a "light visual novel"?

So I want to read the manga right after the Anime’s adaptation but this talk about chapter 90 or don’t really get, Book 5 seems to be the correct one but it start off at chapter 23 “the beloved one” soooo I’m a little confused as to how you view chapter and how the manga has its chapters labeled
