Feels very unwarranted to compare one of the most successful and critically praised show in the last decade to something so poor in Akame ga Kill. Even the deaths and lack of plot armour are different as you know from the start that Tatsumi and Akame will survive until the last episode/s and is missing all of the intricate storytelling always present in GoT

Because in both series people die when they are killed, especially the good guys.

Yeah. It is similar because of both series having deaths in both sides. I remember enjoying Akame ga Kill before watching game of thrones and that is probably the right way to go lol. Its obvious that Game of Thrones is wayyy superior compared to Akame ga Kill, in probably everything. But yeah, the themes are similar in a way, corrupt government, rebels, and superpowers.
