Has season 3 been declared? And if yes, when will it come out. I really enjoyed this anime, so I would like to see it continued.

He's talking about Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry, both animes are very similar to each other. And I mean VERY similar. If you liked Asterisk give Rakudai a try, the romance in it actually goes somewhere.

I feel it's unlikely, sadly - it had two seasons mostly because it was a split core first and foremost - but no S3 has been announced as of yet.

Unlikely there ever will be one. Just read the novels if you want more of the story. They're licensed so you can buy 'em or wait for torrents of new volumes to pop up on nyaa or sth...

Season one was definitely better than season two, it was better overall than Radukai too, although i liked the fact that Ikki and Stella got together in that one. I would definitely check out a third season, but i would hope it was a bit better than season two.

2019 and still no news XD . It's not gonna happen sadly to say. Finished this today and it was better than I thought it would be. I would watch a third season.

Alright here's my prediction on the outcome on this series because I tried to do as much research as possible. It may be right or wrong in the end so no thinking it's 100% accurate. Between Asterisk War and Chivalry of a Failed Knight, even though I would like to see another season from both of them, Asterisk will probably be the one to get another season over Chivalry no matter how many times western fans will meme and praise Chivalry and crap on Asterisk. Asterisk was developed and promoted by a major anime company(Anniplex) and said company owns A-1 pictures. Chivalry on the other hand was originally made to be just another random LN advertisement and then just stop there, considering it doesn't have much promotion compared to Asterisk. Digibro's 12 video opinion on the series on how much he hates it doesn't matter in terms of another season or not. He probably made it due to them trying to promote it like SAO and we know how much he despises SAO. Japanese audience is the main priority over western audiences. While Chivalry gained more popularity than Asterisk in the west, I think Asterisk actually gained more popularity in Japan over Chivalry. Now as for why we haven't seen another season yet, there is actually only enough to do one core since they originally made Asterisk War two core. If in the event Aniplex still interested in making another season, they may rather be interested in making another two core rather than one core which the LN still doesn't have enough content for. Also, A-1 pictures have way bigger priorities. They had to work on three seasons of Seven Deadly Sins, finish up Fairy Tail, complete the Heaven's Feel movie trilogy, promote Fate/Grand Order since that mobile game is huge, I could keep going. They put it on Netflix just last year so they probably haven't forgotten about it considering Aniplex has a partnership with Netflix

I think There is still hope on s3. Maybe late 2020, early 2021? Like someone said, they uploaded it on netflix not So long ago. s1 and s2 on netflix are one season. If There will be enough viewers on Netflix they will ask for more.

I don't know where you live but in my country this show has been on Netflix since at least summer 2018 and the show aired in 2016 i don't realy think anything is going to happen but you can still hope, i was excited beacuse it seemed the story was finally going somewhere, with a bit of development of claudia and ayato's sister

Guyz calm down, in theory we should receive informations on a possible sequel to Gakusen Toshi Asterisk shortly, also bcuz the series went very well, in fact it has many points in favor for season 3: since it is on netflix it is good, bcuz on netflix there r only "the best anime series", both the manga and the light novel r in progress, and if Im not mistaken the novel has employed 12 of 15 volumes for the 2 seasons, so maybe there is no material. Im not saying that season 2 will come out soon, but take these points in favor. And then come on raga it is quite obvious that we will have information on a possible sequel, that is they will not make us stay so long, 4 years have now passed

Season 1 and 2 is only 5 of 15 volumes (Phoenix Festa)
I would say they need another 2 seasons for Gryps and 3 more for Lindwurm. The actual story begins when Mediath Mesa gets a propper scene (episode 9 of season 2 kinda). There is way more stuff going during the Gryps and Lindwurm Festa. Kinda sad that there wasnt that much happening during Phoenix Festa, only after that Festa we saw something about Ereshkigal and Mediath.

as much as i really love this anime since i first laid eyes on it's released; it is fairly certain that a continuation is unlikely. given that their manga format has covered quite a bit more over time. it isn't unusual to have anime gone dormant and maybe resurrect; but since 2017? it had been 6 years since. like many, i dearly would love to have a season 3. but even with petition and much hype; production requires funding and more than not; that's where everything fall short of.
