| Whoa, a story that was actually well paced and had a decent ending. That was pretty good. |
| My theory is that the brother's strong feelings of hatred kept Furukawa alive as a ghost, which in turn let him exact his "revenge" on him for 8 years. By the end, it was classic exemple of nobody wins when the game is revenge. Really enjoyed it! Also, I'm seeing a pattern of bullying throughout these stories. Last one was pretty evident, and this one didn't revolve around bullying, but it had a strong presence. Ito is focusing a lot more on human inherit cruelness this time around. |

| This was just a genuienly good story with a good horror ending. Ito junji actually interviewed an old man who lived with his wife next to his childhood home for this short story. The man 'Mr. Y' had shipped out in WWII and Junji talked with him about his experience as a soldier. The backyard in "shiver" is also based on Mr. Y's backyard. |
