| Kinda want to start watching one based on medicine and hospital stuff, dunno if there's any anime like that floating around. Already know about the Black Jack series, any others? Literally anything related to medicine like that would be pretty neat. Thanks in advance. |

| The psychiatrist in Kuuchuu Buranko is a weirdo and not really a good example. He appears in three guises -- a young boy, an adolescent, and an adult -- and wears weird costumes as you can see here: The first part of Monster takes place in a German hospital. The protagonst, Tenma Kenzo, is a neurosurgeon. He saves the life of a young boy who goes on to become a serial killer. Eventually Tenma is accused of committing some of those murders and goes on the run. I would like to be able to recommend Hidamari no Ki, a story by Tezuka Osamu about his great-grandfather who was a proponent of "Dutch" medicine in opposition to the Shogunate. Unfortunately only four episodes have been fansubbed. However I did find the manga online with an English translation. |
