| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Prometheus What a great tome, the best so far. As much as the few rearranged bits of the backstory are sufficient in the movie (well done to tie them by switching babies cases), this volume does a great job at showing us the premises of the conflict Arion was the central piece of and the descent of Zeus. The ruthlessness of the younger Poseidon comes out also better in the book than in the movie (where he still manages to kept some sympathy from the audience). The silly moments with children might break "immersion" for some people but it is normal for children to be away from the drama (apart when you are called Apollon, of course). The unexpected little bratty Athena was a great touch, and a good way to let us know that she was/is simply another victim of all this. Overall score for the tome: 5/5 |
