| Man how many shoujo romances have I read to still gasp when a boy suddenly kisses the girl? :'D I think about it, and in reality, that would be a huge no no. But in manga, I'm just excited about it lol. Not because I'm rooting for Chiaki (I've been mostly rooting for Riku so far), but it's just spicy that things are moving forward and changing. Poor Ten though, she's gonna be super confused. I doubt her feelings for Riku would waver that quickly, but I can also see her liking Chiaki later on, hmmm. Tbh I always thought Chiaki would be the "main" boy, given that she met him first. That's almost always the case with shoujo romances. I've been borrowing the volumes from my library, and I was shocked to see Riku on the cover of volume 2...but then seeing Chiaki show up on the cover of both volume 3 and 5. That's twice before Riku shows up again. I'm guessing they really want to make it seem that Ten could really end up with either boy. Was I seeing things where in some earlier chapters, Ten thought she liked Chiaki??? Unless she meant as a friend, but I swear I saw it twice, once in chapter ~10 (volume 3) and maybe near the end of volume 2 (gdi Viz why do you publish the splash pages at the end so idk which chapter I'm reading) |
