Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.

- Has my favourite cast of characters
- Great setting and atmosphere
- Interesting plot
- One of the few anime I've seen that really succeeds in being both dark and lighthearted (the other one is Gakkougurashi)
- Very entertaining and impactful

I don't think I'll find an anime that I will like more than this one.

Anime obsessions come and go, but Gintama and Higurashi are series I've liked ever since I first watched them years and years ago. I'll always love the characters in both of them, and I can easily imagine myself rewatching these series in the future too. Higurashi especially is such a great watch during summer vacation, since it's very atmospheric and spooky in just the right way.

Used to think it would be Kyo Kara Maoh but there are many things that I don't like about it myself right now. The first 2 seasons were great but the fandom has to be one of the worst and most obnoxious fandoms on Earth, to add to it it's manga and musical adaptation literally sucks. Most probably anything that comes out in the series later on is bound to be fan-service ridden shit. But I don't really have any other series which I can stick on to after finishing watching it. So till the day the string finally snaps Kyo Kara Maoh it is for now

I can't see myself ever hating Shinsekai Yori or Death Note or Code Geass or Hajime no Ippo or Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun or Shirobako or Bakuman or.... you get the point. I'm not even saying this just because they're my favorites, but I've rewatched Code Geass (the weakest of my favorites) multiple times and have never loved watching it less than when I first watched it 9 years ago (time sure flies by fast).

Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu

I watched it back when it's still airing, back when 20kbps was considred as high speed, back when animea hosted most anime and the smallest size anime was around 300 mb for like 240p quality (iirc), back then I just started my anime journey (not counting whatever aired on tv back then), thought it's strange it got a lot of attention considering its synopsis, then bam the impact hit myself and anime industries & fanbases, it changed how people views anime in general, it also propelled moe into skyhigh (I believe Azumanga Daioh, Ai Yori Aoshi and Love Hina was the starting points), Hare Hare Yukai dance was mandatory on anime festival. Yes the day I watched Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu sealed my destiny to be an anime fan. Till this day, I still mourn everyday due to the lack of S3 ;_;

The end.

Tough question for me since too many to mention...

Since it's only one, I'll go with Doraemon.

1st anime I discovered, this Anime made my childhood smile until now and I still like Doraemon. Never gets old.

Nobita's jackassery and some win moments though. XD

Fate series - Too much emotions.

Phantom Requiem for the Phantom instant classic in my opinion. if you haven't heard about it here is a short bio: The main character is a japanese male vising the united states when he witnesses a murder which turned out to be a professional hit, the hitwoman and her boss kidnap him rather then kill him due to his skill to avade them for several hours and hide, they wipe his memory and train him to be a fellow hitman. there are 2 series surrounding generally the same events but the art style is different and the characters look quite different in both versions the first one was an ova released in the late 90's and the second was an actual series released in the early 2000's.

Nice thread,

Its really difficult to say one.But if you meant,"That one anime that you'll love forever, no matter what", then I will pick CG! (Because I am very skeptic about season 3)

Because some people, I noticed here, hates it and think it 'overrated' and explain using horrible grammer. They also like to compare this anime with LOGH! which is a shame, I mean what is the meaning behind comparing between space anime with superpower anime??? This is absurd! (I dont mean to belittle LOGH at all)

Clannad is my second anime like that but Inuyasha will always be my first.
I never considered the flaws in Inuyasha until I saw it's score on here. I was so surprised! I thought everyone liked Inuyasha since I loved it so much!
