AI drawing was an experiment where they made an artificial intelligence learn to make a character walk by itself, the results were really unsettling (further past the uncanny valley, if that's possible) as the character was basically a zombie walking using its head, or it looked like a deviant titan running. His comment came after looking at that, and at the prospect of animators giving up the last bit of their agency in the production of their work. | This seems very similar to the more well known, and sadly still widely believed, "Anime is a mistake" misquote. I think it's still being shown at the museum and even if it's not I doubt they destroy the films after retiring them, so it's not lost. |
