I spent months with no anime or manga, many times. Losers.

This is pure irony calling people losers on an anime/manga site.

I took a two year hiatus from watching anime or reading manga (during which time I turned into a pure internet troll/stoner), so yes. I'm really a master at wasting time, so I could probably find something else to do.

(I just marathoned both seasons of True Blood)

If power went out all over my city, and I had no access to any resource that concerns anime or manga for a week, then yes.

What a silly question. The idea that anyone can't make a week without watching anime is absurd.

If its through choice then sure, I can skip a week of anime watching. But if I have no choice but to give it up I really don't like it.

Definitely. Up until a year and a half ago, I was living quite the life all without anime & manga. And to be honest, it was never supposed to be like this.

Same for me.. Before I never really cared about anime or manga, but it wasn't until recently that I got really into it. Now that I think about it, if I spent a week without manga or anime I would feel a little lost..

Anime is nowhere near an addiction for me.
Every six months, I'll get into a few anime, and then stop for a while.

So yeah, I can definitely survive.

Yes to both. Gone without both for a few months, just because I didn't feel like watching/reading anime/manga.

I'm just not into both as much, anymore.

I usually do anyways.
It's sort of like a vicious cycle for me.

I watch anime like really hardcore, polish of around 20 series, then I'll forget all about anime for a month and a half. or so.

Last year I forgot about anime for like 5 months. When I finally returned to MAL I was so happy, it was like meeting a long lost friend.

As for me now, I probably couldn't go 5 months. But a week, no problem.

i fear it's rarely trolling, but posts of this nature really irk me. why are people like this? who are we to judge the quality of someone else's life? if a person were to read/watch anime every day, and this brings them pleasure, what's so wrong with it? i could understand if it were more of a "not my cup of tea, but whatever" mindset, but it isn't. if someone derives joy from doing something, and it isn't harming anyone else, i say more power to them.

Yup! I do on various occasions. Not just when I'm having an anime/manga flunk, or when school and life are getting in the way either.

I've got so many books to read, that aren't manga, and so many games to play, that ( while similar ) can totally distract me. ^^ Not to mention, I've taken to exercising and getting out of the house more.

I've gone the better part of a year without watching/reading anime or manga, though. o _ o Such a long time. I came back into the world and nearly died mentally. There was so much more! Everyone was raving about so many anime I'd never heard of. X _ x Crazy.

yep have done it many times - when i have to many exams its time to stop everything anime and manga related - for me half my time was spent either watching anime/reading manga or looking for anime or manga. then theres all that checking for releases and commenting reading blogs about anime and manga. It really kills your time. Sortve like right now
