I loved this movie. I remember coming home every day from elementary school and watching this.

Your insight?

This movie was weak compared to some of the other ones. Better than the Darkrai one though.

Just watched it on local TV, with Dutch dub. I usually love the Dutch dub, although they used other voice actors, which suck a lot.

I just watched the English Dub of this movie....its only just 75 minutes and MAL's DB for it is wrong with the duration time saying 2 hours, which is not the case. >>

I just watched it on BBC2 (UK channel), I missed the first 4 minutes of it and watched on youtube just now.

I was flicking through the channels randomly as I was about to turn it off to go back and finish off the 3rd season of Minami-Ke. Since, the movie is anime, I sat through it because I've never seen it before.

When I was younger, over 10 years ago, me and many were in the Pokemon craze that hit the western world and literally took its legs and flung it up in the air.

Whilst watching the movie, I realised that I have moved on from these kind of animes but I still liked it.

Pokemon, Digimon, Astro Boy (2003), Cardcaptors, Dragonball series and Beyblade are the only animes where I have watched it in DUB. I prefer Japanese audio with English subs the most and have done since I was 12. I have never tried watching any of those shows in its original state but the one I would definitely watch in its original form has to be Astro Boy (2003)..........It was the latest re-telling of Astro Boy and I think it originally aired on Japan in 2003 is my guess. Unfortunately, in the UK, these dubbed animes will broadcast the episodes at random times and sometimes not broadcasting not more than the first 10. I think the Pokemon, Digimon and Beyblade have all the episodes broadcasted somewhat but I of course they suffered from heavy-editing and perhaps removing episodes such as half of the original episodes of Cardcaptor Sakura were removed, oh this is another series I'm eager to watch........simply becasue its CLAMP.

Ok, back to the movie.....it was average, fine, predictable and its exactly what I expected from the dubbed version of this movie. Maybe someday, I will watch everything pokemon in Japanese......LOL. =) I'm being generous and I will rate this movie a 6/10. =P

I disliked this film. One of my least favorites. Its too bad, it had a cool plot, with time travel, Suicune, and "Dark" Pokeballs. But in the end, it didn't click with me.

This is the best Pokemon movie I've seen to date. Definitely.

I actually thought when Ash, Misty and the others started crying that Celebi would come back to life. Y'know like the Pokemon tears cured Ash when he was turned to stone back in the first movie.

I cried when Celebi died. Why do Pokemon movies make me more emotional than anything else?

Great movie. The scene of Celebi's "death" was very touching, and the sketch book with professor Oak :O awesome.

I admit I welled up a bit with Celebi's death even now. However the movie was still average at best but not bad. The tie in with Professor Oak was a nice touch though.

Damn what a plot twist at the end! It was prof. Oak all along. I remember seeing this movie when I was a lot younger. It was nice to see it again!

ok so last I watched this, I was a kid, so I don't remember much. But I rewatched this with a friend today and holy shit at the end when Oak is revealed to be the kid, I was literally shitting myself. We went ballistic for some reason. Honestly didn't expect that out of a Pokemon movie

It's hard to not compare this movie to Princess Mononoke, and everybody knows who is the winner in this competition.

Apart from Sam being Prof. Oak, everything else feels pretty average in my opinion.

Lmao the old Pokemon ball.

Not as strong as the other movies but still entertaining.
Great visuals for sure.

And a nice little hint with the end credit scenes showing Sam was actually Prof. Oak when he was younger ^^

As a kid I loved this movie but now watching it again after so manly years ago I feel like I more like it then love it as I used too. I recall after I seen this film a few time's I ended up realizing that, Professor Samuel Oak was the kid named Sam. This movie is among my top 5 favorite Pokémon movie's I used to own the VHS back then.

The CGI Celebi monster thing looked so bad; I remember just wanting that bit of the movie to end because it seemed to take up 1/4 of the entire runtime and the villain was so generic and boring. The fact that this movie basically stole the plot from Princess Mononoke but with mediocre writing should be a crime.
