| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Plot was a bit slow, and action was a bit hasty. Not bad, but it could be a lot better. Just another story for Harlock fans. Anyway, I purchased the DVD first-hand for 3€, so I shall not complain. |
| Soundtrack? Psche... Topical, and taking free profit of a classical. Entertaining? Yes, I shall admit it. At least, I didn't felt bored. :-D |
| Being sci-fi, it could be techno-like, too. But yes, classical suits Harlock better. Oh, and I finished the manga. It's another arc, but that and this OVA have some failures in common. |
| A decent open ending if you ask me, not the best and together as I wasn't a too huge fan of the many changes made to the characters and timeline, but in general it wasn't bad and I do wonder how this story will connect to the Maetel Legend timeline! All in all a pretty lovely story! |

| The reason for the changes is that this is NOT a typical Herlock story. It's based on an opera, they just used the Herlock universe to tell the story. |

| The ring has been retrieved. Wotan seems thankful. This was okay I guess, but nowhere near as good as the other Harlock titles I've watched. It was rather disappointing overall. |
