| To preface this, I'm not talking about an ephemeral euphoria or happiness relating to a specific incident, but instead the actual state of constantly having a generally positive overall outlook on life. What is it like to feel satisfaction with your life? Is success required to feel such a thing? Is satisfaction or an optimistic attitude towards life just ignorance? Do any of you feel satisfied with your own lives? Why do you feel this way? |

| I think satisfaction is feeling happy with your life. No, you can be satisfied with being lazy. Ignorance with satisfaction is when you think you are successful, but you are alone. I don't think anyone who is alone but with money would be truly happy. Not yet, I don't like having to constantly have my parents pay for me most of the time, I want to contribute to my own life. I'm almost an adult, I do have a job though. It's just life. |

I'm okay with life most days not necessarily satisfied, sometimes I'm happy and ready to face it sometimes I feel a firm indifference about living. I don't think success is necessarily required for everyone but I feel better when I achieve a goal. I don't think optimism is ignorance just a way of dealing with hardship. I'm rarely satisfied but I want to find my satisfaction someday and I won't quit until I do. I feel this way for so many reasons mainly because 'I'm not really good for anything even for the things I want to do in life and I'm not really getting any better but maybe I will if I keep trying. |

| I feel satisfaction after a day in which I accomplished a lot. If I spent most of the day doing fun things or informative things, I feel like my life is going somewhere and there's more to look forward to. Generally all it takes is a few hours with friends, a review, a few anime episodes and reading 90 pages from a book. But holding a conversation with a girl helps, too. |

| What is it like to feel satisfaction with your life? I don't know. But i'm okay with that ! I'm still a privilegied white european male, as some people could say. Is success required to feel such a thing? I don't think. I know that a lot of "successful" people are rather unhappy with their lifes... It depends on which level you want to be successful, i guess. Financial ? Relational ? I'm not sure if success is that important to be satisfied with your own life. Is satisfaction or an optimistic attitude towards life just ignorance? It's more like having an optimistic standpoint, i'd say. Do any of you feel satisfied with your own lives? Not me. I don't know if i'll ever be satisfied with myself. Why do you feel this way? I have yet to earn anything important by myself. That's why. And it's starting to bother me pretty harshly. :( |
