  This is a thread dedicated to the food that we lovely members have had the pleasures of trying out! You can share food pictures, or just simply say what you ate! Food to be shared can be anything really. Whether it's to share local eatery, a brand new place you decided to try out, if you've traveled to some other place and are trying out the food there, or your casual favorites—they can all be shared! If you are unable to provide any pictures, feel free to talk about what you ate or find similar pictures online~ Feel free to also talk about the food joints that you've been to and what kind of epic quest you are on currently in trying to try out their whole menu. This thread should also help others to identify and put places to try out on their "to dine at" list if they ever plan to travel to certain areas! | So I live in an area of the U.S. in the midwest, specifically the Chicagoland area, and basically the Asian food in this area is not really as strong as you'd like. It's hard to find very good sushi or very good ramen, but sometimes there are some gems that you can come across. Basically, I'm trying to find the "best ramen" in my area so I go to different places to try out all the different ramen in my area. Albeit, I have yet to try probably even like 1% of the ramen around here, I still had several ramen in this area. So here I am sharing my ramen pics! | For dinner today, I made my parents try out Indian cuisine for the first time. My parents are very skeptical of new kinds of foods they've not tried and almost always have a negative reaction to things I introduce them to. But today, surprisingly they enjoyed the Indian food I brought home! Which was Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikki Masala with garlic naan and basmati rice :3 |

| So Lays is doing their annual new flavors by plebs contest and this year they have I've tried the truffle fries and gyros one so far. The truffle fries was good. Gyros was really odd...it really did taste like gyros..but it was weird bc it was potato chips. :c Anybody else trying these out? If so, what are your faves? Last year's was the bomb....Ginger Wasabi chips are my bae <3 |

| So yesterday my family and I decided to try out some shabu-shabu at a restaurant here called ShinNori. Uploading some pictures and describing~ I started off with some edamame beans covered in sea salt, and wanted to try out some Hitachino ginger ale (literally ale flavored with ginger). The ale was delicious and the beans were tasty although you did have to work for them! The main! We got some thinly sliced steak from Brazil, the dipping sauce on the left is made with sesame paste and various spice, it was a bit on the sweeter and nutty side. Dipping sauce on the right tasted like it was a sort of mentsuyu combined with ponzu. Salty and refreshing~ Veggies! Pak choy, Chinese cabbage, carrots, shiitake mushrooms, porcini mushroom, tofu, glass noodles... Safe to say, we didn't leave hungry. x__x The broth was very mild, definitely tasted miso and kombu. Got more tasty the longer into the dinner we got! Dessert! Ordered in some mochi ice cream since that sounded veeery tasty @ A @ I only got two, and some roasted green tea on the side. One was flavored with mango (half of it disappeared... Oops!) and the other with yuzu. |

| Oy vey, time for me to write there :P It isn't made by me, but my granny. We call them "gołąbki" in my native, dunno if anyone of you is familiar with it. It's made of cabbage leaves and minced meat mixed with rice, also comes with home-made tomato sauce. Believe me, 'tis satiating as hell, and on top of that tasty as two hells xDD Anyway, DROOOOOOL! :3 |

| Just had some delicious fajitas, er, stirfry? We maybe kinda forgot tortillas XD so we put it with rice instead, but it was so freakin' delicious<3333 the fajita seasoning was so good and I love pairing things with rice. We make a skillet beef stew and put it over rice and it's so good ^Q^ Btw, no pictures because I was too hungry to take any ʕ˵ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°˵ʔ |

| Had some coffee and cooked potatoes, jalapeños and eggs together in a flour tortilla for breakfast. Then after a long day of school and hw, I ate arroz con leche (rice pudding) and more of the cooked potatoes, jalapeños and eggs with a flour tortilla. Didn't really eat much today. =l |
