| Quite the brutal chapter. Chrno has lost it and gone into an enraged form of himself. Possibly due to the lack of a horn as the other demons seem to go into their demon forms without risk of turning berserk like that, but we have also seen him in this form without going berserk. He did break the seal himself so we know this case was due to the emotional outburst which may explain it. Vid(who was called Bid this chapter so I'm confused) was worried about Aion as he already mentioned the lost part of his arm and brought him his sword for the fight. Enraged by Chrno who he calls spoiled for presumably biting the hand that fed him he tries to cover for Aion and take Chrno out instead. But Chrno does the sickest kick off him to slam down and then ravages him like an animal leaving him asking for mercy as innocents watch in fear. The chapter ends with Aion stabbing Chrno in his demon form but lacking horns which is a surprise to Chrno but just about proves Aion's the one who killed Stella's family. He seemed to have spheres where his horns should be... almost reminiscent of the first pursuer we met who was working for and betrayed the guy who adopted Az. Fi uses jewels so there's a good chance she is indeed Stella's sister and was taken by Aion as Aion attacked the family. And the DBZ style attacks that blew up large portions of the city is also notable. This is really cool and was very different in the anime. |
