i admit that its definitely the biggest tease to anyone wanting a pure psychology thriller but..

it was the most prefect thing to me. like ever.

like omg the best opening for any show ever. o.o them feels. like in those 10 mins could have been its own short... just genius :U

then BAM! screen breaks and happy theme song. like... yes... i mean... awesome.

so what are your thoughts on the 10 min tease of Kotoharu-san? pls make sure to use spoiler tags when needed.

I'd even say the first three episodes are pretty decent. But the rest of the series is just a pile of generic disappointment

First 3 or 4 episodes (can't remember exactly), I thought I was watching a 10/10 anime. I was in love with it. All downhill from there though. It even manages to sprinkle in some terrible along the way.

I liked it as it was.
People keep going at it with different expectation after the first episode.

Just see the cover. What does that look like to you??

Anyway, it was very good, I enjoyed all of it.

i like its comedy in general + its special way of starting of the anime.

oh, i just saw the "end" symbol at episode 5 that hit the screen right before the theme song.

what if that was hinting at the supposed end of the drama? that would a bit clever

I love this show too. I've written a review about it myself.

Yeah... there IS a pacing problem in the show's second half, but it's honestly not that big of an issue to me. Another thing about the show that not many people realize is how many hidden depths there are to this show. Everything belongs, has purpose, and makes sense if you sit down and think through every possible angle.

I think the constant shifts from drama into comedy and back again was very different, but not automatically bad. The show knew how to affect its audience and when, and I felt that they succeeded in that regard. This is far from the standard Romantic Comedy, and I love that something different was done with the genre in such a shocking way. It's the haters that can't decide what they truly want and expect from the shows they watch.

One more thing: I've heard from haters of this show that Haruka was "retarded" without any logical basis for it. Personally, I think she's among the most intelligent and insightful characters I've ever come across. An example from episode 3.

It's a sad day when having morals makes you a highly intelligent and insightful character.
"There's no shame in falling down... true shame is to not stand up again!"

"Aah? Of course I won't miss!"

"My blood tastes like Iron."

"Run through the tape in life! Never give up! Run through the tape!"

I can't tell if you're being serious or sarcastic here since either could be the case. If you are indeed being sarcastic, then I'd like your analysis of Haruka's character and your judgments of her actions given what she's gone through.

That means the depressing past of Haruka would make her a 9000 IQ genius. Unless youre being sarcastic which i dont care.
