| Ushiwaka was right. Oikawa is so great at finding the strengths in his teammates and extracting it, even sharpening Mad Dog's fangs, getting him warmed up, and using him as a non decoy decoy. That's pretty dang cool. Speaking of Oikawa, I hate him! I hate him so much! But, in a friendly way. He had that nephew or little brother he had an adorable relationship with. He has a good relationship with his team, improving them at every chance he gets. He went out of his way to help Hinata and Kageyama overcome a slump and improve exponentially. In all respects, he is a good guy. He just loves to play the villain. He has that Bokuto style satisfaction from beating someone in every sense of the word, mentally, physically, logically. He rubs it in too. Because he loves being the villain. He is a total Leffen, you love to hate him. He's the villain we need!!! And that's why he's an awesome antagonist. I can't say that about Ushiwaka though, so far he's a stoic, earnest, but jaded individual and although he's likable in that sense we haven't seen much of him, so for him to be the ultimate baddie with such a great one before him leaves me somewhat concerned. It's great that Hinata, another absolutely intuitive player, loves Mad Dog chan to the degree he does. Where someone might think the brute strength he utilizes is out of place for volleyball, Hinata loves it! In fact, he was concerned over him not knowing the satisfaction of a feint. Kawaii. The strategies being used are awesome. I love the sink or swim Mad Dog plays. The limiting of Hinata's quicks to easily receive them. Suga's targeting Mad Dog to put him out of commission which was quickly answered with someone covering for him. Oikawa warming up his monster serves to seal points with one quick blow despite how great Daichi is at defense. And now, as Seijoh has gotten momentum and a lead, it may be time to send Yamaguchi in!!!! It's all I wanted, him to close out or at least be the start of closing out the win after last time!!!! We know he will not baby out, he wants to prove to himself that he will go his hardest as long as he's out there. So excited... but also scared due to the episode count. |

| Goddammit that mad dog is really something. They really need to win this set cause with the next one Aoba Johsai has the momentum and I'm sure they will score after score. It's time yet again for Yamaguchi's jump floater and hopefully he gets it right this time. |

| every episodes feels like 5mins but THIS episode feels like 5mins like it was over so quickly omg mad dog is really mad. double-edged sword indeed the OST was SO sick especially RIGHT at the end when yams appeared. just plain EPIC!!!! next episode the former coward's fight? it breaks me heart a little he's not a coward the narrative is way too harsh on him! |

| loved this episode!! really suspenseful & i'm super excited to see how the rest of the match plays out. also w/ the ending of the episode with yamaguchi wanting to be added into the match!! yes, this is the moment we've all been waiting for omg. |

| yamaguchi asks to play? that's new. that kintarou is beast, wonder what he eat for breakfast. hinata doesn't have much play here, he easily blocked. what happened to his improving gameplay? |
| Mad dog is serious trouble for Karasuno. And Oikawa's character just gets better and better. I just can't bring myself to hate him. He is a fantastic antagonist. The match has been great so far. And now Yamaguchi is going to enter as a pinch server. |

| Mad Dog was insane this match—his spikes are wild, but I keep hoping they go out. He’s strong but so stubborn and reckless, a real hit-or-miss player. Yamaguchi’s up next—his chance to shine! If he lands that float serve, it might be a top 3 moment for me this season! |
