I don't know how many of you can fathom what I've just experienced:

An anime -- one of the thousands produced in the Japanese nation, each with their Japanese demographic in mind -- with various scenes taking place in AMERICA (which is a country commonly mentioned in anime, sure)...

... but, here's the real kicker: we've got an American character named Alex, who has hair, eyes, and a build, exactly like me.

Never did I expect to find an anime with a character that looks just like me, from America, named "Alex" (because, you know, 95% of anime character have Japanese names, meaning the chance of "Alex" popping up somewhere in the 5% has gotta be rare). On top of all that, I used to play tennis (but don't anymore). Also, my family has thought about moving to Florida, but I'm actually north of it. Still, come on, how many (American) people can say that they've inadvertently stumbled upon an anime character (from a "non-fiction" anime) with (not only their appearance, but) their name?

M'kay. I'm overreacting aren't I. I'll shut up now.

Loved the start of this new season. Maruo's now in America training for a couple weeks against a range of foreign talent to get some experience against different kinds of players and help him gain some confidence too to take back to Japan. For a guy that's only been playing tennis for under two years, his journey has been pretty wild to lead him to America to eat, sleep and breathe tennis for a while like this.

Glad they retained the OP song this season. Unlike Log Horizon or Hunter x Hunter which use the same OP song for a long time and sounds annoying as hell to listen to, I love this song so I'll listen to it more gladly. The tease scenes and the tennis sequences in this opening were nice and better than the first season's opening.

One thing I can't believe I forgot for a long time was the ending song. This was my jam and one of my favorite anime ending songs when I first heard it when seeing this show a couple years back but I just forgot about this after some time. This song by Ganbare! Victory still fucking bangs for me and now that I remember it, I'll be playing it a lot more on my phone for a while. Significantly better than the ending song for the previous season too.
