| Too much to count Is there any anime that changed your life and how it did it? |
| My parents watched an anime when i was a small child. They enjoyed watching it too. There was an episode in it with an abused kid and my mom told me when i was a teen that it had made her realise that how they had been talking to and behaving towards me was abuse. So she said shed talked with my dad about that they needed to stop cause they were harming me. She never called it abuse though that word was reeeally dangerous to bring up lmao. I had not felt the difference (couldnt say that lmao) but it just meant a lot to me that my mom at least for a while had realised and been able to grasp the similarities. Cause i remember id watched it with them when i was little and every time there was a rerun id noticed too and id just held my breath hoping theyd notice when that episode was on so theyd realise and maybe stop... they apparently had noticed which i found really funny... cause i hadnt noticed a change in them at all but maybe it would have been worse without the anime ? But just that theyd acknowledged ever that what theyd done to me was wrong and TRIED to change at all that meant something to me somehow. It made me feel loved or seen a bit ig. Lets ignore they were still doing it lmao. Other than that uhm... i felt seen and it was cathartic or soothing to watch a lot of animes... like anime were times where people would be ok cause then their attention would be directed at the screen and stuff would be ok.
