Was not digging the art style used for a lot of the shibuya arc, and this episode especially. Didn't like the 'unfinished' look of things, like it was off a storyboard, or just even a rough draft. This was not the complete product that the animators wanted to put out? Well, it certainly shows.

Or does it? Because, as polarizing as this episode can be, anyone with eyes cannot stop and go "wow", even just a little bit, inside. This fight gets better every time I watch it. As for this more simplistic, sketchbook-style art style? Whether this was 30% of the intended vision or 99% of it, it works. And heck let's put the style aside, because the animation itself is f*cking THERE.

Maybe some of us wanted it to look less flat, more shading, and just more of a treat for the eyes, I know I did. But let's be real here; this already is a treat for the eyes. That said, whatever the issue was, and if there really was potential left on the table, I'd freaking love to see what this episode could've been at 100%. But again, let's be grateful for what we did get; something that far outclasses almost everything else already.

Also the SOUNDTRACK for this episode???!!! DAMN

There were episodes better animated, okay? But it shows they did the best they could. Considering that is pretty decent. Also there was a lot happening on the scene too, doesn't it? JJk requires a lot of action frames which is honestly good for the viewer bad for animators. Yet I enjoyed it pretty much 'cause Sukuna itself is enjoyable to watch. Like a toxic love-hate relationship

I had the pleasure of enjoying the Blu-Ray version of this episode and I am resolute in my statement that this Sukuna vs Mahoraga fight is the single greatest piece of fight animation in anime.

I have read 2 perfect chapters of manga; They are Usogui Chapter 203 and Onani Master Kurosawa Chapter 23.

this episode was great and very hype, and i really am excited to see the next episodes but the graphics still kinda lack and its honestly really sad, if mappa had a better schedule and a better workplace it would have looked much better its a shame. nevertheless mahoraga vs sukuna was still a great fight and im glad they showed nanami at the end, and i feel really sorry for yuji.he has to be so traumatized. well excited for the next episode where we will see mahito.

Damn, MAPPA kind of winning me back with this episode. Some really cool uses of differing animation styles, directing, and storyboarding to really put into effect how mind-boggling the fight is supposed to be. Hate the OP played at the end (hate it in general though so a bit biased there), but otherwise I feel like they've improved a lot on issues I've had with them last season overall.

Really loving the final shot with the Sukuna fire bow, genuinely insane animation, the animation seems to differ depending on if you watch it on TV or have Blu-Ray version (netflix in my country has the TV version for Season 2 sadly), but still, some of the shots are genuinely mindblowing, mostly during Malevoloent Shrine though, still really loving the cinematics, and shoutout to MAPPA animators considering the time restraint and work environment
(also thank god that skinny fucker is dead lmaooooo)

also the balls to fucking play SPECIALZ after Itadori mental breakdown seeing a 140 meter hole being created in the middle of Shibuya LMAOOOO poor guy

Crazy animation for this fight Sukuna vs Mahoraga, that Malevolent Shrine is insane. Mappa is cooking so hard this season. Poor Yuji, he remembers everyone he has killed and breaks down, I hope he gets his revenge.

Sukuna'yı izlemek her zaman çok keyifli. Savaşırken ki tavrı, gücünden gelen egosu ve görünüiü/duruşuyla bambaşka bir karakter.
Fakat animenin genel olarak güç sisteminde büyük zayıflıklar var ki bunlar da belirli noktada mantık hataları yaratıyor. "Nasıl ya" veya "yok artık" dedirtiyor.
Sukuna'nın, Megumi'ye olan ilgisinin sonucunu da merakla bekliyorum. Mahoraga hikayesini duyunca, onun için sanmıştım ama onu da kesti ve belli ki o da değil. Bakalım..

Just when you thought last ep was insane, we get another crazy battle between Sukuna and something summoned by Megumi, called Makora.
In that flashback we also got to hear from Satoru himself on where the conflict between Gojou and Zen'in clans started, and from what he said it even sounds like Megumi has some great potential.

Excellent episode, that's why Sakuna had been so excited in the first season (or maybe, it's something more than this)
Another Wonderful Combat, NT for best animation of the year... but I'm not complaining, since I love the animation of Kimetsu no Yaiba but if it weren't this one, I would choose Jujutsu (although it is not as polished)
Fushiguro literally used a grenade (Mahoraga) against an ant (the stupid sword Shigemo) although for his defense... the two were going to die and that's it (it's incredible how Fushiguro is willing to die without hesitation), didn't expect someone's intervention but for this action and the defeat of Itadori happened this massacre... in the end they are doing more than the curses hahaha
The potential that Fushiguro has is interesting, he could be at the same level as Gojou or surpass him although he still needs a lot of training and experience.

PS: The only kill I liked about Sakuna is that he finally killed Shigemo

PS2: Nanami is on his last legs, I don't know what he wants to achieve in that state but good luck and I'm preparing to say goodbye to him if that happens.
PS3: Poor Itadori, but this is the path he chose

Incredible episode, incredible fight. Insane, dynamic fight and zero talk for the most part, indescribable show of strength. Simply, wow. I watched quite a lot of anime, shounens specifically and this definitely goes as one of the best fights I've ever seen in an anime.

like the author had this like an idea: I want to show both parties are on another level strong and it kept going up and up, at some point you need to have pretty good creativity to come up with a way to show THAT is even stronger than what you've just saw a few minutes ago.
