You have too much faith. Unfortunately, the default assumption in the case of sexual and, to a lesser extend, violent scenes should always be forced intervention by a third party. I highly doubt there are many artists out there who would actually want to remove content when adapting another artist's work out of their own volition. The number of industry people lamenting on their social media accounts how they were forced to change certain character designs or (relatively tame) sexual scenes due to orders from above are quite telling.

@DarkDooM2 I love the way that the visibility of an anatomical feature is regarded as 'content'. Imagine complaining because a manga panel has, say, a character's left ear visible, but the anime uses a different angle on that scene in which you can't see the ear. I'd understand if this was hentai or heavy ecchi like DxD or TLR where they may actually be the point, but this is clearly going for something a lot more complex.

When it comes to actual content, whole chapters getting omitted just because they don't fit into the story the anime is opting to lay out is pretty common. And any competent and not-intimidated director will throw out manga panels pretty much at will, because the right shot for an anime will often be different to the right shot for manga. My favourite anime leaves out one of the two main characters of the game, because a story based on conversations between a psychiatrist and her patient works well for a mostly audio game, but would be a little boring with full animation. It goes fully for thematic linking instead.

Doubtless there exist cases where artists have to change things due to orders from above. That is the only thing those anecdotes tell you. When they change something because they think the change is a good idea, they don't make posts complaining about it. And people don't seek those posts out and tell you about them. You only hear about the times it goes wrong, you don't hear about the times it goes right.

@logopolis "Nothing has been removed", ah cool, so we're just straight up lying now.
Just crazy that you just keep up all these apologist talking points too like acting like studios and producers can't ever be at fault for censorship because "uh that's probably what they thought would work better", truly and utterly insane mindset.
"I'm against the concept of IP" and this is where I completely ignore every other thing you say about artistic integrity since this is the second time you have totally and completely contradicted yourself. You don't care about artistic freedom, you care about trying to shut down discussion about censorship.
And now you're making up scenarios about music and VA work too just so you can try and feel justified in handwaving complaints over very real censorship, yeesh.

I hate to say it, but I was a little disappointed by this one. Really not a fan of them going to a school when the first episode felt like it established this as a more adult mystery series. I'm glad they're giving us some great ecchi shots of Sumireko; at least they know how to utilize the poster girl.

It appears the teacher is some kind of demon who attacks those who cause any kind of disturbance, hence why the school is as peaceful as it is.

What I don't understand is why Sumireko is all of a sudden able to utilize this age changing ability. Last episode it almost killed her, and I feel as though it was trying to tell us "be careful what you wish for". Now she can use it at will? Not a fan of that, honestly.

I just hope this school arc ends quickly, and we can go back to being more of a seinen type show.
@takkun_ Same lol the ecchi shots were the highlight of this episode for me

So if the plot needs it she suddenly is the bearer of the curse and can change freely? :|
On top of that she does not change into a little kid but to a high schooler because that's what plot needed? That's so cheap.

Quite boring episode overall.
@Ayunee I think it's because she switched back and forth so many times, as opposed to simply having it be undone and steering clear of it

I am only guessing, but I'd assume she can readily use the youth curse (and also control how far back she de-ages), because of her abusing it back and forth so many times in rapid succession, and also being under its effect for about a week straight. Curses aren't just an effect you turn off or not, it is sure to leave some sort of actual change or effect on you even if you're no longer truly under it. The curse had very specific triggering conditions, but because she used it so much, it's likely just become a part of her, at least until something is done with the book.

Also the curse's negative effects seem to only crop up as a result of extended de-aging. Her body began to deteriorate (blood pushing its way out from being so packed densely in her child form), because she remained in that state for a week straight. If she sticks to smaller bursts, especially being a teen, whose body is larger than a child's, it is more manageable. The issue is she wanted to STAY a child, not shift to and fro her adult and child forms.

Love more Sumireko and not only she's a thicc af onee san but can now change to a highschool girl as well, quite the combination. Imouto chan kawaii, jealousy. Sensei reekes trouble so no surprise, I guess she's just targetting the bullies? Which is why there ain't no bullies.

This was so much fun. I'm baffled how something like this has so many critics here but something like Konosuba has almost universal approval. Interesting.

Sumireko’s Bust: 1, School Uniform Buttons: 0 lol, definitely enjoying the jokes in regards to how stacked she is. And things took a bit of a different turn than I thought in this episode, I mean episode 1 already had the same effect for me so it’s not a big deal that it happened again, and that’s mainly because of the fact Sumireko can just shrink at will and to whatever age instead of just a loli, I know Adashino briefly mentioned why she can do that now but more explanation would have been nice, but at the same I accepted it pretty fast lol. And this also kinda comes back to something I mentioned last episode, being that they’ve shrunk Sumireko down despite the uniqueness of her massive booba, I wonder if this means she’s rarely gonna be a 28 year old babe or not, guess time will tell.

There was also an interesting thing at the beginning with Adashino, he turned down that ticket but later told Oto that he didn’t have enough for a ticket, I wonder why he’s keeping Oto around then. And the plot at the school is interesting, it was a bit of a slow buildup to it with the introduction of the other schoolgirls and the obviously sus teacher, but I had a feeling we would see someone get the symptoms described within the episode and it happened, this paired with the teacher licking the floor was kinda spooky, I look forward to seeing how they end up pinpointing her as the culprit and what’s done about it, it might not be as easy as reciting words from a book this time. And lastly I liked that little “Maria-sama Watches Over Us” reference with that girl straightening the other’s tie, at least that’s what I think it’s a reference to giving the type of school it is.
@TheColonel76 hahah glad im not the only one that got that Maria Sama reference !

I unfortunately find that teacher super hot despite her obvious flaws shown at the end. Although, the shot with her shadow showing devil horns was cool.
