| Lmao I feel so vindicated. For years I kept saying that this show was edgy trash relying on cheap plot twists and absuing the mystery box, but the fanboys kept insisting that it would all come together in the end but instead we got this absolute shitshow. This is why I never follow ongoing series anymore. |

| If i'm ever recommending aot to anyone I will instruct them to stop at season 3 because that would be a better ending than the one we got. From season 4 it was all going downhill culminating in this garbage of an ending, if Isayama didn't know how to conclude the series he would have been better off leaving the ending open-ended instead of giving us this crap. |

Why does a story about discrimination and freedom suddenly turn into this cheap romance centered ending out of nowhere, why suddenly Mikasa is the person Ymir waited for all this time? Why did Ymir love king Fritz? You can like the ending sure, but saying its a good ending is big cope. |

Don't listen to anything a single person says about the ending being "the worst". The ending is one of the most bafflingly misunderstood things I've ever seen.
And no I'm not saying it's too big brain or difficult to understand. It isn't at all. It's just that people seem to have COMPLETELY missed the point of what AoT was leading up to and what we've seen in the 4th season.
There was no way Eren could have or should have won. He was reduced to a crying child. This is the poetic ending of his character and of Attack on Titan. I'm not saying AoT was 100% perfect, but the fans' desires for a fan-focused ending are mind blowingly out of touch with what Isayama has been leading up to for yeeeaaaaaaaaars.

Plot armor and plot convenience were always present across the story, but it goes up tenfold in the conclusion and throws out any sense of danger. - All deaths after paths, outside of civilians, are results of suicide. The Alliance suffered 0 casualties in the biggest fight of their life; even their parents were spared how great is that. Good for them. - Stockholm syndrome. Nothing to add here; legitimately the worst thing Isayama could come up with to explain why Ymir followed the royals' orders. - Only Ymir knows and, since she has no tongue, she takes all of that valuable information to the grave. I guess filling in the gaps of the story isn't important for the readers and viewers. - Hallucigenia disappears and is never spoken of again. Poof gone, magic. - Paradis gets carpet bombed years later like everyone predicted. Fascists deserved it. Now the world can exploit the island for its resources. Hoorah! - "No I don't want that". And that's not even covering every issue I have with the way it concluded. |

| @Meinyaa Why can this story not be both about discrimination/freedom AND romantic? Are those mutually exclusive? The freedom and discrimination are still the main themes so I don't know why are you acting as if it was somehow lost? What's wrong with Mikasa being pivotal to the story? The entire reason titans existed for 2000 years is because Ymir cared and loved Fritz so she was listening to his dying wish. Mikasa showed her you don't have to blindly follow the one you love by being able to kill Eren, which freed Ymir from her suffering. The ending makes PERFECT sense to me. |

| @Itspreshh Okay, we will see how it goes. The majority of fans have found the ending to be disappointing since the last chapter released. It's fine to like it, personally, but you also have to realize that the majority opinion isn't "wrong" either, for thinking it's a shit-show. Given the reception of the final manga chapter, I think we'll just largely get another wave of disappointed fans who waited to watch the anime. Maybe the IMDb rating will go up a bit, but even if it ends up in the 7s after the dust settles, that's still not a good look for a series that had episodes sitting at the top of the highest rated TV episodes of all time for relatively extensive periods. |

However, I personally think it's more annoying seeing blind support for the series as if it can do no wrong than seeing someone acknowledge that it fell very short in the end, and undid some of the great that it has done. |
| Unreal to believe that theres no more AOT left, whether you liked the overall anime/manga or not, Unreal to believe its over. I guess its more unreal that an anime of less than 100 episodes took 10 years to finish. But it was a fun ride to say the least. |
