Ito Junji's amazing stories should be on a movie or on a whole series... They would work so much better. Great ideas but poorly done because there's no time to develop the characters properly...

Both stories were pretty bad this episode, as both felt like they were missing a lot of information and were rushed.

The animation also continues to get lazier. About 7:00 minutes into the episode a man looks around the corner after the girl who stole the record, and he just sorta slides around the corner rather than actually make any motion. It's really distracting stuff that takes me out of the show.

I watched the dubbed version and it wasn't censored :P
Aunt was totally topless and you can see the guy's guts at 19:46 (his body is covered in darkness in the subbed)

My most fav episode of Ito Junji Collection:
• Collection no. 022 is hauntingly beautiful

that was some killer tunes. Its a pretty straight to the point creepy story though with how this record works you would think a lot more bodies would be around.

The second one was a big ol can of wtf. It makes me wonder if the whole building thing was also her dream since the killer showed up again and the exist was her going back to reality.

The 2nd story can be a metaphor for the internet.
When you join the community, you practically surrender your privacy and identity whether you want to or not. Wearing a mask symbolizes being anonymous in order to not attract attention to yourself.
"Manga readers are annoying, all they do is complain or spoil the anime we discuss in an anime forum.
They should really do their whining at manga forums.

why everyone saying the episode was "censored" the nipples and gore was clearly visible.

Anyway, a lot of stuff was left out

for anybody who's thirsty enough, the aunt in 2nd story is topless in the manga :^)

In the anime, she is also topless tho

@LeturLefr No idea there was one, so it came out after or what

well yeah, tv release would be censored and then the blu-ray/dvd would be uncensored.

In Used Record,
Cutting Nakayama's remorse from killing her friend Ogawa, Ogawa singing as a corpse, and the backstory to the singer Paula Bell is disappointing.
A struggling singer who finally gets her recording debut, gets into an accident and demands she's carried to the studio even though injured. After her last breath, a few minutes later, she starts singing to which they started recording at some point. Amazing horror.

The impact of death from a stone to Ogawa's head to kill her was a little bit underwhelming, but overall great adaption.
Hearing the interpretation or accurate/inaccurate song from manga to animation with voice was magnificent. Beautiful song and as haunting as hoped.
Both dead girls singing together in sync was great also.

Glad to see another of my favorites from Junji Itou so well adapted, even if it was condensed with some cut content. 8/10.

Town of No Roads isn't exactly one of Itou's best, nor is it a favorite of mine, but it's still good for how interesting it is in the concept of no privacy in one town.
I think it cut a bit of extra insight as well to the boy who had a crush on her and her aunt's dialogue, but another solid adaptation,
Except for the lame censoring of gore from injury and removing nudity which plays to the fact that the Aunt grew to not care about privacy anymore in this town.

The beginning remains odd in how her family somehow adapted the same behavior from that town, but the concept of townspeople being able to move around anyone's homes like public transport is interesting and disturbing to imagine.
The sleep hypnotism is weird and random in regard to this story, so, 6/10.

Used Record was crazy, they really die from chasing the record.

No Privacy Town, that's wild 😵
How Junji Ito got this idea from...
