The One Piece soundtrack is so good! I really love some of the songs in it, when they start they always get me excited. The voice acting and music add a layer to the anime. By the way, I've always loved how Sanji literally kicks Luffy to places, his legs so strong and here he aimed like he was Usopp!

So we started with Luffy seeing Hordy attack the citizens of Fishman Island. The citizens who have shown time and time again just how strong they are. They tried to fight Decken, they fought Luffy when they thought he was bad, and they are trying to do the impossible, slow down the Noah however they can to allow Shirahoshi to escape. They are the average people that make me admire fishmen, the people that show that the majority of fishmen are admirable and strong people. And as they fight for their kingdom and their princess Hordy mocks them, calls them worthless, and attempts to kill them saying they bring shame to fishmen people and calling them cowards. As Fukuboshi once said, HORDY IS THE WEAK ONE. He instead of suppressing his devil in turn for a better future is unleashing it and has no limit for how he dominates humans as long as he does that. He is the one who brings shame to fishmen, not these people who are fighting their hardest with themselves to suppress their hate and for their kingdom. Luffy loved Toto in Alabasta for his hope and his battle against the impossible, his dream, his resolve, all that. I bet he could see some amazing qualities in these people and for Hordy to so casually crush their dreams, like when in Alabasta Crocodile sent a sandstorm to Toto to spite Luffy, means that I think this is just more fuel to give Luffy a nice punch to his skull.

But Luffy shows that maybe Sanji and Jimbei should have come, not Luffy. Immediately he gets cornered in his bubble and Hordy shows that insane drugged up shark speed in the water we saw when he took down that ship to scare those runaway pirates. He looked so good moving in the water like that, it totally gives the impression of immense speed, he feels like the scariest shark in the world. But with his whole "humans become powerless in the water" I just have to facepalm. HORDY YOU LITERALLY ALMOST DIED IN THE WATER AGAINST ZORO, OMG, JUST LIKE HOW HE PERPETUATES HIS OWN HATRED BY ASSASSINATING HIS QUEEN, HE FREAKING PERPETUATES THIS IDEA TOO. He believes what he wants to believe by creating it and repeating it and I want him to get his face kicked in but because of the arcs themes I will suppress this hatred, have some compassion and benefit of the doubt for Hordy, and hope only what is necessary happens to him.

And to think, Luffy would have been severely hurt without the princes coming in to retrieve the Noah and Fukuboshi coming to help him. The princes showing up was great. Fukuboshi picked up Luffy and allowed Luffy to have a chance in the water, it reminded me of when Link rides on Sidon's back in the water in Breath of the Wild! Meanwhile the other princes saved Shirahoshi and told her that in fact they ought to keep the Noah safe. I loved the moment of Luffy and Fukuboshi sharing their promises, becoming allies, and just having that sweet moment of two warriors keeping their word to protect someone they care about. It was quite pretty.

But, Hordy didn't care and swam right to Decken's side, Decken who seemed to not even realize he did anything wrong, "hey brother!". I assumed that the thrown object would have a certain quality to it so that even if Decken was knocked out it would keep going. Hordy however assumes that if he kills Decken, a man who betrayed him and has it coming in his eyes, then the Noah will crush Fishman Island by falling right onto it, or at least I think so. It's a bit frightening because he'll be safe but all his officers and his army won't and he needs them to take over the rest of the world. Maybe there will be evacuation time if he's right about Decken's power. If it does work like that, which maybe we've seen before and I'm just forgetting, then it reminds me more of Yuyu Hakusho with how the territories could be stopped if the power user was knocked out.

Hordy really did end up stabbing Decken. As gratifying of a moment that was, it would've been more satisfying if it was the other way around.

It's nice that the Three Princes are actually helping out in Luffy's battle.

I've always found apologetically evil and crazy villains fascinating. Writers can have them do just about anything and ascribe their actions to impulsive insanity.

As much as I dislike Hordy, I find Vander Douchebag far more annoying. It was quite satisfying to see him get stabbed tbh.

I think Jinbei is the (fish)man to take on Hordy under water. Now that would be a badass fight!

truly the ultimate parodic romantic comedy, this whole section of the arc taking place because Decken is "not Shirahoshi's type"

Gotta love Hordy's short term memory. Boasts about how useless humans are once they are in the water and cannot hope to ever beat a Fishman. Dude...you were beaten back in the palace by Zoro...unnderwater...with a single attack :P
Also gotta love the hypocrisy. Talks about humans being all talk once in the water, well he was all talk on land, so it's a tie.

I know the Noah is stupidly large, but with all that swimming and seeing it even hitting rocks on the seafloor...how the fuck is it now still directly over the island?! We know what's likely to happen. Should Decken die or Shirahoshi touches the Noah right now, it will stop following and let gravity do it's thing :/

Yeah I’m glad Hordy stabbed Vander. Anyone to take him out.

Maybe Sanji and Zoro should have been the two to come. Luffy devil fruit really makes him at a disadvantage here.

Good thing the 3 princes came in clutch
