Lol, the monster is not that strong enough to defeat another monster? I thought that monster really strong :)
@YudiYusantoS Imo, because he tore out half of his inside (piece) and gave it to Yoshiki in the previous episode, so he's smaller now and even got hurt just by being pushed by his classmate.

So idk if it’s just me but did it seem like Yoshiki got better hearing after Hikaru messed with her? This was a great episode Hikaru learns the pain of being a weak human. I wonder if Yoshiki can use Hikarus power now that they are connected.

Is it just me or I'm just really scared of what will happen to Hikaru rather than seeing Yoshiki being targeted by that "headless-ghost or something"? It's somehow a bit thrilling (and terrifying?) that Tanaka and Yoshiki finally met, but my, that suicidal freak with a knife was superb, messing up my thoughts psychologically. This episode is so lit.

A horror-focused episode? Yes, please! I enjoyed this installment so much!

The scene with the guy in the courtyard was delightfully blood-curling, as was the last one in the café. Also, I found the investigation fascinating! The fact that the mountain looks like a body is such a perfect touch. And the discussion with the victim's daughter was good; it added humanity and depth to the murder from another perspective.

Finally, we got more of the cool hunter guy. His exchange with Yoshiki was the perfect blend of tense and WTF. I love his "hamonster!"

I can't believe they managed to make an episode even better than last week's. I love the way Hikaru is starting to learn to comprehend or partially understand human emotions and the weight of death on someone's life. I also love how the sacrifice he made for yoshiki to trust him has weakened himself enough to feel pain now, essentially making him more human. Now hikaru has become someone who yoshiki tries to protect as well, rather than the all-powerful monster to be feared by all.

As a horror fan, the horror aspects this episode were also phenomenal. The eerie feeling and animation of the monster was very well done. The suspenseful pacing was also great with no wasted moments. I loved it.

Overall, I love how this episode has changed the power dynamic between hikaru and yoshiki. Before, hikaru said that he would protect yoshiki, because he was that reliably powerful, but now they both try their best to protect each other despite both being in vulnerable positions. The last scene was so amazing to watch.

it's also such a pivot from the last episode that was also a pivot, I love how I can't guess what the hell is coming next

first you have one of the most disturbingly touching romantic scenes i've ever seen in my life, and now you have just the darkest most terrifying stuff happening around them like, this is peakest of peak every week, I'm scared and loving the ride.

i don't think i would like to live in this anime world i think i'm pretty cool on that

Creepy asf episode. Between the possessed naked dude waving and slitting his throat, the no-neck monster at the restaurant and Yoshiki showing genuine happiness while holding a pooping hamster, I was on edge throughout the whole episode.

I mean, I loved the episode since we finally got the detective's proper manga debut, unlike how the studio introduced him right in the prologue. I think I can imagine what’s going to happen from here on out, the detective stalking Yoshiki 24/7 until hell freezes over, I guess.

The first time a scene came even close to giving me the same quality/vibe as the manga... Too bad it's been a slog to get this far. The pacing has been atrocious and the animation quality has been in the shitter.

In this episode plot makes big step forward: Boys find out more about village lore that goes back to the days of famine, witness another murder, and Yoshiki finally meets the mysterious outsider in glasses. Later, boys talked to the daughter of an insane woman, who died recently. Disappearance of her sister in the mountain region drove mother mad, and it seems like the villagers were aware of what could cause it. The encounter with Shades guy was friendly, but guy noticed enough to figure out Yoshiki's connection with the paranormal. The very next day, the boys get attacked by one of those paranormal apparitions. Hikaru failed to push them back this time, and the situation seemed dire until "exorcist widow" came to save the day. In hindsight, self-nerfing superpowers was not a good idea.
Not a fan of a snail's pace show moves for most of the season, but art and sound direction shines in every episode. "Shift" into the ghost realm(last scene) is this week's highlights. Also, villages named after body parts, forming a human shape is a neat concept to expand on.

Omg I loved it from the start! It felt kinda weird at first, but this genre is totally my thing. Idk if the anime is gonna dive into same-gender feelings like BL, but honestly I’m here for the friendship, loyalty, and that fun small-village vibe. Can’t wait for the next ep, the story is really heating up πŸ”₯ Nonuki-samaaa, what are you?! 😭✨

Ohhh!!! Idk why this episode got me hyped lol, now that Yoshiki accepted this Hikaru already, we're getting more into solving the mystery of the village and what Hikaru "Nonuki-sama" is.
The old village map was so interesting, it's shaped like a human and even the names are related to each parts, crazy details. ??I wonder if the creepy supernaturals are related to the village's name as body part?? like most of the things we've seen in Kubitachi so far involves the Head and mostly the neck??? (both from this episode, the one from the forest and the hair one from Yoshiki's home, and uhh the head? from the train crossing). The school scene was crazy ngl, that shit was creepy af.

And it seems like Asako didn't lost her ability, her right ear just got damaged, she is indeed lucky for only getting away with that.

"Nonuki-sama" went down from the mountains and now he's even more weakened, maybe these beings are now mass appearing because there is nothing to keep them in check anymore.

Yoshiki fully giving up on the original Hikaru coming back but being willing to shoulder the sin of the new Hikaru even when it comes to the murder of strangers and potential friends in my eyes is a sign that Yoshiki has fully submitted or at least partially to connecting his being with the being. Him thinking it’s worth it either by his own will or the unconscious persuasive of Hikaru doomed romance peak ™οΈ

Great episode. Many interesting things happened, the man with the knife and the spirit are all caused by Hikaru’s presence. Tanaka is now guessing in the right direction. Nonuki was revealed as a deity and it looks like Hikaru got weakened by giving that piece to Yoshiki.

I didn't expect that hamster scene: Yoshiki and Tanaka laughing together so happily was a very funny break from the suspense. It seems like the hunter is about to take action. Hikaru is definitely weaker now without that part of himself, but fortunately that old lady appeared, who seems quite powerful when it comes to dealing with spirits.

Poor Asako lost some of her hearing, and that was a hard blow. It's fascinating how they're unraveling the mystery of what Hikaru really is: the deity, the city's past, and how it all relates to his human form.

rip giving up half of your innards, I guess. Hikaru is now more human-esh.

The death on school grounds stuck out for sure πŸ‘€

And the map scene where they were lining up all the villages as body parts is weirdly fitting. Since we know body parts are particularly relevant in this show.

I like how "calm" it can feel with the investigation and then it suddenly switch to full horror, that last scene was too creepy. Also Hikaru is slowly becoming more and more human especially after giving a part of himself in the previous episode?

The mysteries of those town.... interesting~ It is a great mystery and a horror anime... If only no BL element, I'm sure no one will drop this anime. But I'm okay with BL~

That guy with the knife outside the school was really creepy.
All the villages together forming a body was definitely creepy too.
Maybe Hikaru isn't Nonuki-sama but a fragment of him?
Anyway, it's sad that the dead woman's daughter showed up.
What a great ending to the episode!
