So we got the reason why Yuke is the chosen one at least. Saga was brought back out of nowhere just so they can kill off someone, followed by Rune who has been waiting her turn since the first arc. Somehow it wasn't really that emotional, probably because hard to sympathize when it's just a -1 harem girl, Rune had basically 0 development after all. I suspect an older version will be back in S2 to round out the harem later. Aside from that, we have the human hating elves which I'm sure will be another annoying arc for s2 and idk what else is left after that. Maybe some kind of development for Marina or some closure with Persephone and the curse...

Overall I appreciate that the plot has continuity and explanations for stuff happening, but pretty much all the antagonists and some things that happened were not very well written. The main cast is likable and that's probably the only reason why I finished it at all and maybe I'll watch s2 just to find out how they wrap things up.

Ok, that's good, you've told some presumably very interesting stuff. Am I the only one who finds this ending very osef? Very oseftièvre. And what are they really going to say now? Because now they've killed the final villain who wanted to destroy the world. But what are they going to tell next? An even nastier villain who wants to destroy the planet even more? Good. And now I'm hoping he'll have a face, really, the villain, because I'm sick of hypothetical "Oh, it's something from another dimension" villains. I'm sick of them. And that ending there, with the little girl's death, but that osef... I mean, death's more like reincarnation, disappearance, but it's such an osef tière...

Instead of wasting so much dough on stuff like that, which personally, in truth, the anime is good, but I wouldn't give it more than 7. I wouldn't even give it 7, you might say. Oh, it's... The story's good. Well, no, the story is... is weird.

From start to finish the MC never trusted his party, lied and betrayed them over and over, how in the fuck are they still together when he is a total shit bag?

It was a bad choice by the author to kill Rune. It reduced the overall quality of the show and retroactively changed previous scenes into something worse. Bad writing, bad idea to include in anime adaptation (alot of revenue lost on that bad writing-choice).

Good show for the most part, bad ending, bad concept offairness, nice characters and pixels. Immature writer.

Was caught off guard by the ending admittedly, but on the bright side we have a rare show that ended on a satisfying note instead of awkwardly in the middle of things.

I mainly watched this because the synopsis sounded interesting and I don’t regret it; it was a good run, and looking forward to season 2.

"Rune can't let brother PYuke and his braindead bitches part way like this, so Rune will sacrifice herself for the greater good. Good bye everyone"

Hard decision, 9 or 8 /10. I loved the anime, but sometimes it was too slow, and fights were too static, there was no super good OP/ED songs, they were good. The story was nice also. It was a good harem show.
I liked Marina and Jamie the most. Too bad they removed Rune and Saga, but maybe she will be back thx to this compass? Simon did travel around worlds to be back in different form.
I look forward to next season.

I hate it when anime/manga that I enjoyed ends, especially when there could be much longer plot and when I love main heroine :P

I wish I had magic glasses that let me see real world in anime colors ;)

Hm, the premise is decent, the characters are good...the execution....hm

Uncle dies out of the blue, the grief lasts 10 seconds.
Yuke tries to sacrifice himself, gets stopped, no one even gets angry at him for trying.
Rune sacrifices herself, the grief lasts 10 seconds.
Idk, it seems they are rushing the characters to get a tragic scene and then move on immediately...bruh

Anyway, are those concrete buildings I saw in the portal? So Rune went to earth probably...Isekai S2? Aww yeah. That would be my shit!
They shown Rune's badge just before she went in, I think that is foreshadowing for a sequel where they try go after her to get her back

Although there is still the problem she is foreign so the world tries to refuse her and that can cause another calamity, they have to think about a solution for that...

to kill Rune

She's not dead, she is just stuck on the other side. In whatever other world was in the other side. Could be dangerous, could be not.
I saw some frames when the farewell scenes were playing, looks like modern earth landscapes to me, so maybe she was isekai'd to earth lol...

Really struggled to finish this. This episode was a compilation of everything I hated about the show. From little things like cringy spell incantation and finger snapping, to a quick summary of everything they skipped over just to keep some of the pointless dialogue.

Couldn't stand the part where they where all crying for 5 minutes over Yuke being the one to stay to close the door when in fact he wasn't going to be the one to do it. Then spend the next 5 minutes crying over the replacement. Honestly, would have been much more interesting if he actually went through with it himself and then had a whole new adventure where he struggled to get back.

Also, how the hell did the streaming recording things just teleport out of there and show up next to Yuke like that was a normal thing. So not only are they capable of streaming across worlds and dimensions, they are also able to teleport anywhere they want? How am I supposed to take that seriously.

Won't be giving season 2 a chance unless they are some major changes in the studio or directing staff.

Moderately enjoyable. For the most part, the world-building was ambitious enough, despite it being centralised around the esoteric dimension-shifting dungeon of Achromatic Darkness; although I wish the setting itself had a more developed culture, weaving it into the backstories of each character to add an extra layer of authenticity to the premise. From the first episode, you're thrown into a storied scenario with Clover, Thunder Pike, Yuke, an adventurer's guild, etc., but the anime is curiously reluctant to clarify the "hows" and the "whys" of these elements.

Nominally more competent characterisation than I was expecting too, with even ostensibly one-note antagonists like Simon having more wrinkles to their person than they're initially presented as having. And, while only Rain and Jamie really stood out in the Clover party for me, I suppose it isn't the worse groupie harem out there, since all of them have more than enough reason to trust Yuke by the end of this entry.

Looking forward to seeing what the next season does with the narrative. Vilmullen is a different, fresh region, so perhaps a change of pace?
