| Entertaining for all the wrong reasons. I actually wouldn't mind a 2nd season of this masterpiece. But only, if it's as enjoyably bad as the first one^^ Also, AnimePlus should make an achievement out of completing it. |
| I thought the plot was largely good the whole alpha beta thing was compelling. A lot of lore was unexplored or just not stated in a blatant way leaving many questions (guess the lady scientist is actually the missing/dead scientist, did aliens truly bring the ex arms, did, Akira and the others truly survive, how did JPN bounce back from having all electronics fried by gamma irradiation, etc) OP was great. Many of the middle episodes were a little dull, but thats usually par for the course for 12 episode single story inclusive shows, can really watch ep 1-2, then the final arc. Liked it. |

| Ex-Arm's animation is HORRIBLE. Really, the worst I remember seeing in a long time. Bad CG, but bad bad. I quit after five minutes because I couldn't take it anymore. Then I read that his production company had never worked on anime before and it didn't surprise me at all... |
| Sad thing is the story ain't even that bad. Well the manga is 14 volumes so good luck to do a 12 eps series from it anyway. Only good (?) point is that they totally erased all the ecchi from the manga beside the censored kiss (lol) and the weird outfits for Alma, yeaaah I really don't like ecchi. I feel kinda bad for the mangaka tho, imagine you draw your manga, they say you're gonna get an anime adapation, and then you get THIS. |
| Not the worst anime I've seen by any means. The plot was okay and I thought the fight choreography was impressive at times. Unfortunately, the animation really did end up scuppering its quality, as it was especially awful in every single scene. I'm willing to bet the manga is better, partially because animation is a non-factor with it. |

| To think it all started with a guy who started having vertigo whenever he saw a phone. Now he gets to end the digital world and cyber with two virtual waifus. One of those nukes must have fried my brain because I found myself doing the Minami gape stare once the credits started rolling. Even for this abomination, the ending was disappointing. Though finally hitting that + and seeing "Mark as completed" was the best ending I could hope for. Thank goodness this is over... I've seen quite a few of these infamous "so bad it's bad" anime that lick the bottom of MAL's soles. Pupa, Mars of Destruction, Skelter Heaven, Sleeping with Hinako. In many cases, the hate for them is overblown. Sure they're bad (except for Hinako), but they go by fast enough that there's no reason to hold a grudge. But now I can see that combining that caliber of trash with a full length TV series is a grave taboo that rivals human transmutation. If this had been 3-5 mins per episode, I probably could have just enjoyed a good laugh for an hour and moved on. In Ex-Arm's case, however, the meme magic wore off within the first episode and all I was left with after that was a grueling journey into decadence & derpiness constantly spurred on by the curiosity of seeing if at some point, I'd finally drop it. MAL's consensus on Ex-Arm is totally justified. Though I will say that in its defense, Ex-Arm's most hideous faults were 100% on the production side. The plot had potential to at least be decent and most of it was made sloppy by the distracting CGI and terrible execution of...well, everything. Had this been a run of the mill seasonal, I could have seen it being maybe a 5 or 6. Perhaps it's because of that one redeeming factor that I won't contribute anymore malice to this series (look, I learned so much from this show!). 2/10, perhaps even 3/10 if I can look back and laugh at this lobotomizing experience. Any higher than that and I'll know Akira hacked my list. |

| The story are fine, the Manga art are amazing. But.... The 3D mixed with 2D are horrible... even the animation are horrible... The last episode are not so great either... Is Alisa the 2D doctor? It's a mystery. Ahaha. Poor Ex-Arm Mangaka.... |

| The story is not bad I think and the voice actors doing good but yes the animation is complete shit sometimes it's made me laugh on how bad is the animation is, wonder if it have a good animation it probably get above 7 at least, ah well I will give it 3 for atleast the story and the va |
