| Ahahaha, White Fox continues to confirm the status of my favorite studio. These guys not only make a good anime (well, not always), but they also have a good sense of humor. Honestly, they were almost able to get around the announcement of the second season of Mahouka on my list of "most unexpected announcements this year". | This show is a teenage boys wet dream come true so this news comes as no surprise. And since the second season was announced immediately after the last episode it's safe to say it was planned from the very beginning, so it has nothing to do with how successful/unsuccessful the first season was. |

Agreed. The rough spots are bad, but overall it was an enjoyable show to watch. If S2 is extended to be a full cour, then the pacing probably will improve. I feel like it was rushed to make it to a point that manages to be 13 episodes and is a reasonable cliff hanger, but then again there were plenty of points in the story that they could have stopped. Really, S1 should have been a full cour, you can even tell without reading source that the pacing was way too fast. Still looking forward to the S2, I'm not gonna hope for a vast improvement though, feels too optimistic but I'm willing to be surprised. As long as the pacing and animation don't get worse it'll still be worth the watch imo (because it really isn't the worst out there lets be honest). |

| The basis of Arifureta at the start was really interesting however as it gone onwards it became a plain isekai, disappointing since I read the novels for some time and it got me really interested around a year or two ago. Honestly I like these sorts of antihero protagonists however this one just got more and more plain as the anime progressed. |

| Honestly, I actually found the anime entertaining in some ways. As for the adaptation and implementation of the first season, it was a punch in the pit of the stomach without a break. Animations, scenes, representation everything was so bad on a whole new level, it was like watching a cheap Youtube fan animation. The dialogues between the characters were also mostly bad. Many say that the manga is far better than the anime, but I have no say in that. Still, I'm surprised that it's getting a second season. |
