| Yeah it's quite... abridged. I'd probably feel confused if I was a donghua only watcher but the key points are still there regardless. It seems to me that most of the confusion anyway is not from how fast this is but rather because they've forgotten who the characters were. That being said- I love Wen Ning so much. ;~; My fav boy who is also the goodest boy and who never did nothing wrong. WWX protecting the good Wens warms my heart. Also precious A-Yuan buried in dirt. Wish he saw more of him because he's so fucking cute! |
| Donghua-only watcher here (I feel like I'm the only one lol). I was very confused at first but this episode actually cleared up a lot of things for me. I also had to check the wiki to clarify a few things, like I couldn't see why the Ghost General would possibly be Wen Ning, that same archer guy from before. But it does make sense seeing all this. There are probably a few other things I haven't understood (is Cheng's sister dead too?) but I can pretty much follow what's going on. Like I wasn't sure why Cheng hated WWX so much but this episode cleared that up for me too. I love both WWX and Jiang Cheng, I was so happy to see Cheng back again since he's one of my favourite characters. |

| Well, this episode was really really rushed and one big...frankenstein...lol. As the live action is slow in some moments, this is too fast. and the end...what do they mean by the "Gusu Lan clan"...i'm pretty sure WWX never thought they've got anything to do with Ning being "alive" xy years later when he is supposed to not be. |
| When WWX's leg actually got injured from the fall, but it wasn't shown here. T_T It's all implied and WWX just acts like he's not in pain while being carried. |
| So Chang just wants to forget Wei was once his brother, like he doesn't exist? That's cold! :( But now I could understand why he's giving the cold shoulder. Sad... Wen Ning, that poor unfortunate soul. Just why? He was a good ally ;_; What an emotional episode. |

| Wow. This episode made Wei Wuxian one of my favorite characters. I love his righteousness The scene in the cave with Jiang Cheng was well written. It turns out his main motivation was to protect Wei Wuxian - I wonder if it's the same situation 16 years later? The purple lightning whip was supposed to kill him if Mo Xoanyu hadn't willingly offered up his body, so I'd assume not... The ghost general was Wen Ning this whole time. Poor baby T_T |
| Finally all the missing pieces are in the place and we have the full timeline explained up to the present. Naturally, Wei didn't deserve any of the hate he's gotten over the decades. |
