| Pretty sad that no one commented in 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024... and most of 2025. It's a charming anime. From someone with no prior knowledge of the Layton series, it is still fine as a stand alone series. The episodic concept seems at odds with modern day binge watching habits, so perhaps that makes it a less desirable show for some people to want to invest 50 episodes into. That, as well as the fact that the target demographic seems like it's for kids. Ep1 was worth watching alone just to hear Kana Hanazawa say "Katrielle". Always love hearing the Japanese accent kinda drag over that double L sound in words. Maybe I will slowly watch a few episodes of this here and there over the next several months. |
