People who did like Clannad have probably rated it equally high or higher than they rated Clannad. Same goes for the Runouni Kenshin OVA and Code Geass R2. | I rarely ever give a 10 in my rankings. Clannad afterstory got that 10 O_o Last I knew it was ranked 3. I understand the *ending* could only been seen as good, or bad depending on your perception. But moving past that, Clannad Ending spoiler --> I dont mind hearing its ranked 1 now. But ranking doesnt mean much apart from giving you an average of the general MAL population. Always going to have people that <3 it, and always have people who will bash it. |

Once each girls problem is solved however they tend to get pushed out of the story in terms of relevance but for a few future gimmick appearances, whereas with LOGH people tend to come and go as the story shifts it's focus to them, which sometimes can lead to an entire episode without a main character appearing even once, but more than likely when they come back they'll quickly become relevant to the narrative again for some time to come. Of course I admit a bit of a bias here since I like stories told on a grand scale with lots of political intrigue and complexity, but hopefully I've been fair to both shows as best I can in my position. Fun Fact: On the same day Clannad After Story took the top spot from LOGH on MAL's rankings, LOGH took the top spot from Clannad After Story on Animedb's rankings. This means that if they want people can now fight over which poll is more important, or they can realize that it's just a poll and not turn it into a competition. |
