| Zodd’s voice was awful lmao, why didn’t they just use walrus screams instead of making the voice actor sound constipated Other than that, it was great... although the animation is subpar and they use still shots frequently, the anime gives off the same vibe the manga has. The art is super good tho, I really like some of it. 5/5 |

| This was an episode I loved. Zodd is quite the badass. He killed 500 men of the Band of the Hawk? Can't be many of them left then, I'd imagine. The way he used his own chopped off arm to bitchslap the shit out of Griffith & Guts... Good stuff for a 300 year old demon. I found that the lack of music during the battle worked well in the beginning, but after the transformation I would've liked an awesome song to start playing. Not the generic ambient music that we got. Also, a lot of mystery is added. Why did Zodd back off once he saw the Behelith? And what exactly does it do? Zodd flies off with a warning to Guts, while Griffith is unconscious. "If this man's ambition should crumble, you will surely die!" Also, Casca jumps on the blame-train again. Maybe it's a bit justified this time. Oh well, guess she loves Griffith more than Guts (for now). |

| It only missed a "welcome to Dark Souls" sign to be complete. Zodd is amazing, the transformation is something real epic, like a second stage boss fight. And the number of corpses... oh man, that's intense! Great battle and it's the first time we see Guts and Griffith defeated like that by a supernatural entity. I don't think Guts is going to ignore what Zodd has told him about his future. Best episode, well, it's really the top. |
