| Amazing. It was TOTALLY UNBELIEVABLE how such an obvious isekai start, more so vulger filled with awfully stupid and flawed characters in s1 pt1,, could deepen them so hardly. It was hardcore, amazing character buildup, intense mystery, beautiful animation and smart way of carrying the story. Rudeus, i was amazed how great his character can be. Well it's obvious he will have inclusive thoughts and question more upon himself and the world and it's system cuz he just reached his teen years......but that's not my default, the experiences he had made this change. | Time to move to second seaoson. Not strong ending, Rudy just wake up and move forward. Seems like Zenith place unexplainable, in a labyrinth that make me concern what Zenith do on there. Well hope in the next season Dead End party regroup again. |

| When I first began Mushoku Tensei, I was sceptical that Rudeus NEET background was trite self-insert. I am happy my suspicion was wrong (at least as of Volume 6 of the LN, episode 23 of the anime). Him being a hikikomori is crucial to his character. He makes an effort to be unlike anything he was in the past. The visualisation of him leaving the tent is particularly well done. That's another thing, the anime's directing. Okamoto Manabu and the talented staff at Studio Bind deserve recognition for just how competently the directing is. This entire episodes sequencing of Rudeus' past life with his Reborn life are incredible at conveying the parallels. So, where does it all go from here? Mushoku Tensei has established a large cast of characters to follow, return, and be used as motivation by the other characters. Rudeus character growth so far has been a pleasure to experience. Now he continues his journey. If Rudeus tries to find his mother with the knowledge Eris loves him, having taken a lock of her hair as a memento, heartbroken but determined to be a man Eris will still love when they reunite, then it will be an all-time classic of fantasy. If it becomes stupid harem detritus about Rudeus dealing with ED, then it will have compromised its immense potential. Don't try to have your cake and eat it too, Mushoku Tensei. Tell a story about the complexities of life. Make Rudeus someone inspiring, someone to be in his 2nd life. I cannot emphasise enough how much potential Mushoku Tensei has to be masterwork after Volume 6. A boy, feeling heartbroken & abandoned, sets off to find his mother. Seeing so much death and bereft of his companions he spent 3 years of his life with, he comes to recognise the value of the people he holds so dear. Humiliated by Orsted, Rudeus becomes relentless in his pursuit of power. If Orsted or something or someone as powerful strikes again, Rudeus will be ready. His goal is to make a home where all dear to him are welcome as family - a home where Ruijerd, Roxy, his own parents, and the like can stay for a day or forever. Rudeus will become a man to make the others proud. He'll be such the opposite of his previous life it will be unfathomable to think the hikikomori and Rudeus Greyrat are one and the same. Of course, this is contingent upon Rudeus knowing Eris actually loves him. The note she left should've said something to the effect of, "I meant every word. Don't find me. We will meet again." If it sidelines Eris so Rudeus can go romance another girl, it will completely undermine Mushoku Tensei's main theme of redemption for the sake of self-indulgence. If Rudeus mopes about how Eris "abandoned" him, Mushoku Tensei will squander its power. It will feel contrived, and all for the sake of turning it into a stupid harem story. Slyphette is portrayed front & centre in the promotional material for season 2. She cannot become a love interest without Mushoku Tensei compromising itself. The magnitudes of this story - of a despicable man reborn and becoming a champion of the world - will be distilled into slop about every cute girl becoming a potential love interest for MC-kun. |

| Rudeus became a shut-in again. Ruijerd continues to save people and clear the name of his clan. Eris feels helpless without Rudeus, so she wants to become strong and useful. She wants to become strong enough to protect him from Orsted. Roxy met Kishirika Kishirisu. She finds the missing members for Roxy with her demon eyes. Roxy learns of the reunion in Millishion. Apparently, Zenith is in Rapan, Begaritt Continent. Paul reunites with Lilia and Aisha. Roxy heads to Begaritt Continent. Rudeus finally realises who he needs to run for at the moment. He sets out to find Zenith. Elsewhere, Sylphiette is shown, but with white hair. |

| This is so cringe. Awwww poor 50 year old catered pedo got duhpressed after losing her 14 year old groomed bride. :( "People dont change so easily" Motherfucker you lived in the best life possible in that world, with MANY years to reconsider your life choices, yet you give in to self-indulgence constantly and never reflect upon what you've done and what you're doing. The lack of introspection is astounding. The rest of the episode proceeds to be a glorified fellatio to Rudeus' ego from the rest of the cast with shoehorned flashbacks and sad music to gaslight the audience. Some lore bits are dropped, but this doesnt salvage the catastrophe that is Rudeus' characterization and this self-improvement disaster the author tried to pull off—one which failed miserably. 1/5 |

| Final second cour impression: 1. Ruijerd - glorification of strength through mouth to mout without any feats. Could be a good role model for the ugly bastard throughout their journey together, but wasted after decided to left the group. 2. Has the potential to be a decent show / story if not for that ugly bastard. 3. Eris's character development is probably the only saving grace of the show. Too bad she fall for him and asking for his chin chin. The scene is just too cringy especially her asking to do it with younger boy from her perspective lmao. 4. Is Rudeus just another case of privileged kid that is given special power or advantage to aid him in the future? The show doesn't show him learning any new technique or interesting skill for survival other than being pervy. 5. Calamity is just like Infinity War event where some people are wiped out, lost or died. 6. There a lot of scenes that are rendered slow and melancholic tone wise to fit this cour. There are also 2 parental reconciliation in this cour to made a difference in an oversaturated genre of isekai. But I could hardly synpathise or care enough to any of these knowing deep down he is still an ugly bastard that has no conscience and choose to self indulge in self pity and lust. At the end of day women is just an object of sex not people just like how he views cute waifus from eroges in his room. 7. Banging in the background in this cour : 4 times. Only one of them thas has substance, the rest are unnecessary at best. 8. Unclear magic system since it's only told like ranking not shown so there's no clear power level to be consistent. |

| good .Turned out for the better Zenith was still missing.Rudeus found a purpose .Red hair girl on a quest to find self - love, for real this time.And finally got a glimpse of Sylphi and that's the esteemed magic university in all probability. Overall much better than the prior season |
| Rewatched and just as great as it was in 2021, amazingly emotional and as good as ever. Strongly sympathize with how rudeus felt and this ending scene was the cherry on the top, now he has a lot to look forward to that he never had before in his life of wasteful coping LDAR and more than ever he has every reason to cheer up, also he should recognize that deep down he is a pretty capable and talented guy despite his past and that new life did let that come out (his memory with the simple past with his family with their warmth may have triggered that self-recognition). The other characters were good as well and most importantly an entertaining show, damm good |
