| Absolute garbage. I picked up the manga at random for some chapters here and there (it was somewhat popular at some point, I guess, could never figure out why) and, imagine that, this is even worse. Went as far as to log in to shit on the show here, haha. Instant worst harem garbage ever created nomination in my book. |

Probably the romance I was looking forward to most this season, and this was such a good start. I’m already loving the dynamic between Mona and Medaka, yeah it’s clear that Medaka’s walls are going to be broken down eventually, and Mona will most likely find out she has feelings for him beyond just trying to charm him, but for now I’m really enjoying gags with Mona trying to get Medaka to bend to her cuteness, some of which went really sexual lol, the fanservice is very nice for sure. This show also looks like it has more than just Mona when it comes to waifus, Mona is great already but some of the other girls look promising too, I’m looking forward to seeing what their roles will be.
And yeah I think it would have been a bit better if Medaka genuinely disliked Mona, but let’s be real, it was clear from the start that wasn’t the case, I figured he was just trying to resist for one reason or another. But what did surprise me was that we got Medaka’s reasoning this early, and it’s that he’s the heir to a cat temple, not sure why it’s a cat temple specifically but alright lol, now I’m interested in seeing how things progress between him and Mona with this in mind, and when she’ll find out. I also really liked the OP and ED, both are very solid and fitting for the show, and it’s nice to hear Kaori Maeda again on the ED after her role as Ririsa on the EDs for “2.5 Dimensional Seduction”, looks like she’s playing a character for this show too.
This’ll definitely be a great one to chill out to on Mondays, nothing better than romcom goodness to start the week.

| Hehe yep, the classic romcom, then. Including the typical "Oops, I slipped and accidentally landed on her breasts" scene, which no title in this genre can do without these days. If it's your first romcom, you might still find it funny, the second or third time you see it you might find it flirtatious, but at some point, as the previous speakers have said, it becomes too generic. I'm missing a bit of "the killer instinct" - the title that gives the anime that certain something. So far it's just "Kaguya-sama", with the only difference being that the advances here are one-sided. After over 100 manga chapters, it doesn't seem to be getting any better. At least the characters are nice to look at and the opening by Ayafubumi and the ending by Kaori Maeda made it straight onto my mp3 player. Background music was also acceptable. I hope that the new characters that will be introduced will bring a breath of fresh air. I'm particularly looking forward to Asahi. All in all, a pretty "okay" start to the winter season Monday. Can't quite keep up with the high standards of "Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon" (although a comparison isn't really appropriate here either), but at least it entertained me more than "Kono Kaisha ni Suki na Hito ga Imasu" (which, contrary to the reviews, I found really boring) |

| @Yasminaa It really is kinda insane lol, I thought it was a really strong start but a lot of MAL users disagree apparently, it’s sad but this is not the first time I’ve loved a show that MAL hates, but oh well, as a romcom enjoyer I will be feasting on this, I hope you also enjoy the show! |

Her cuteness is just too much for him and in order to not be charmed easily or at all, he does that weird thing with him fingers and forehead to resist. That's pretty much it. But yea, the story cause of that is meh. It'd have been better if he wasn't affected by her cuteness at all and was just neutral or not phased at all - my thoughts 2 years ago. If you want a read with that sorta story and engaging characters (MC and fmc included ofc) and beautiful art, check out Kuzumi-kun, Can't You Read the Room? Trust me, it's worth the read.   |

| Normal and boring first episode From the looks of it, it won't be an anime that will have something to grab you and watch, it will probably be what the fans want... breasts and so on... honestly, it's quite annoying to see that in animes, once in a while it's normal, but most of the episode was like this...disappointing. Either way, I'll continue to see how far it goes. |
| Mona's narcissism level is over 9000, but I can't blame her - if everyone around you is your simp, you'll probably end up being a bit of a narcissist too. It was pretty generic, but I'm one of those who can't stop watching anime, so I'll keep watching them anyway. I'd rather Medaka be genuinely uninterested in her. Who knows, maybe she'll start liking her for other reasons, but I have a feeling the other girls might end up being more interesting than Mona. |

| I may be one the few that also enjoyed this first episode as I found Mona's attempts to get Medaka's attention hilarious. While Medaka explained to the 2 classmates why he isn't supposed to get close to girls, because he's heir to a cat temple, I still didn't understand why it isn't allowed. I'm guessing he can't date or marry and have a family because him being an heir may give him a title similar to a priest or monk, but regardless of the reason hopefully it will be further explained down the road and I wonder what Mona will do if she finds out... |

Basically Medaka is resist to Mona's temptation because he is not used to hanging out with girls, besides he is also far from Tokyo. Well, it depends on how long Medaka can withstand Mona's temptation, or Mona will fall in love with Medaka, we will see.  |

| Queen Bee lol.. OP & ED both are really good On line with expectation but even went more wild. The hate it's getting is unreal. Yes it's a seasonal wish fulfillment(even harem) bait type trash. But for what it is it was really enjoyable good trash, get your snob hands off. Mona actually looks Kawai (good job character designer) and fan service is top notch as well. Now just don't tone it down it's better this way. Mc is very barebones and need lots of work and even being a total narcissist Mona is way more likable. I don't wanna call best girl before seeing others but she set the bar high.. This sort of junk food is why I watch anime... Solid start |

| I don't have anything bad to say about this show so far—it delivers exactly what the synopsis promised. The other two girls seem intriguing as well. One of them blushed noticeably when she saw the MC in his new uniform, and the other reacted amusingly to the MC offering Mona his T-shirt. I wonder what she is up to. |

I doubt Mona will ever find out—at least not until the manga is nearing its end—because that revelation would likely flatten the story's momentum. The scene with the three boys on the swing was unexpected. At first, I thought the MC had ignored them and walked away, only to realize he actually took the time to explain the situation to them. It was a subtle yet impactful moment. I'm definitely looking forward to more episodes! |
