Probably the best first episode I have watched for an anime in a long long time!! I watched on CrunchyRoll, where the description for this show didn't mention that she was deaf, which made for a really pleasant, and beautiful surprise. I love the characters we saw here, and I love that this episode was almost just the full story on its own. No cliffhanger, but it made me root for everyone so much that I will definitely be continuing to watch!

The animation is beautiful as well. I appreciate that with this style you can see everyone's lips well, which, when the first intro happened before the reveal that she was deaf, made me confused, since you don't often see a style like this, but was made all the more poignant after that reveal. The scenery is great, and I like that we are in the third-person here, but very often we get the glimpse into her head, transporting us into her world for a moment or two.

Honestly, my only complaint in this episode is that her guardian/mother/keeper clearly doesn't know sign language? And the MC is a college-aged woman that still has a curfew? I can understand the curfew if it's to make sure she gets back safe, rather than to limit her freedom, but the no sign language thing kind of pissed me off on her behalf, lolol!

A good start to the anime with great hints . Loved the interaction between the mains . The side characters crushing was a neat detail. I liked the personality and nature of yuki . Itsuoma is a smart , handsome , tall guy who is never uncomfortable with anything and is always ready for any help he can do.

I saw this being discussed on Twitter and I saw several clips and manga panels. I was excited for this, and I'm finally watching it. It's every bit as sweet as I heard it would be. I even teared up a bit at the end of the episode. <3!
