It kinda smell fishy. I mean, I don't care about rating, but it really concerns me how MAL rating system has been flawed ever since. |

I don't think "hater" is the keyword here but more like the people who didn't enjoyed it that much and stopped watching it or didn't continued after they dropped a rating lower than 8...i mean even before this change there weren't THAT many lower marks to begin with but they were indeed close to 20k people (around 18k) and many lower/higher marks were nerfed by this...in the end it resulted in this...probably after the last episode the score will be more clear. |

Another day, another same mistake from MAL. They tagged it as "Finished Airing" before it actually finished, and when a show tagged as finished only valid votes are the ones that from people who watched 1/5 of the anime. That's why score suddenly increased, it happens with most of the shows, nothing new here. |
i thought cour 2 reaching a 9 was a pipe dream but cour 1 being this high definitely raises the possibility of it,especially with how great cour 2 will be. |
DontJudgeMate said: Cour 2 will probably like that if wf somehow offered exact same production value like Aot It's not about the production value though, if you mean animation it won't affect the score much, but if they fix the pacing a little bit it will definitely affect the score a bit, although just the sheer amount of amazing revelations, twists and emotional payoff coming in Cour 2 should be enough to bump it to 9, at least during airing. Unlike Part 1, Part 2 won't have any boring episodes, as I've seen many people keep complaining season 2 is "boring" and a "snoozefest", they're just really impatient, I feel like they have not heard what setup and payoff even means. |

| Fall, fall fall score. Contrary to the expectations, the last episode had not a cliffhanger of hell (but Otto and Pastrache overindulging) and it disappointed the audience. It probably will fall like 0.10 yet and stay around 8.60, not enough to keep in the top 50 overall highest ranked tittles in MAL. What, anyway, is impressive for a first HALF of an Arc, where the climax is all in the second part. |

| Yeah, I agreed with @Rob7 . To be honest, this show doesn't deserve to be in high score; however, I can see the similar case/pattern between AoT and Re:Zero in terms of critical sense. At least, that's what Light Novel rises the peak as what AoT manga reaches it. |

Moreover surrounding the male MC with mostly female characters is what you call female objectification. Isn't it logical to have both males and females? Why does it have to be a harem? That is all I dislike about this show. Is it me or have you also ignored some male characters that are as major as those “all” female characters? Female objectification isn’t the main intention here in regards to the story, but it is to explore their background, goals, and desires on each of them. Like... you have Garfiel, Otto, and Roswaal who are currently considered as major MALE characters. Others like Reinhard, Julius, Wilhelm, and Felix (and maybe others as well) can be also relevant on the later arcs too. Seriously, why is it matter to have a numerical ratio between male and female? Not ALL Female characters can be major, but they can be worthy to explore each of their characteristic too. Same goes for the male ones too. |
