@Kurtadam13 relax. Evil alignment doesn't mean they are evil. Good alignment doesn't mean they are good.

I won't spoil the manga, but this episode sets up an event to happen later that is very pivotal, but I highly doubt you have any affinity for such subtleties.

as for the rest of your points, you don't particularly seem to be the sort of person who understands world building and character development.

I don't think you will like the manga all that much either.



Anyways, Isla's VA is very on point given her role. She takes care of all, not just insects.

I haven’t read the manga of this anime, but I’ve watched on YouTube about Isla’s personality and what her fate will be. In this episode, I think Isla and her personality are conveyed really well.

To be honest, I don’t like how Mynoghra always relies on the hero. I’d rather see the Dark Elves, as its citizens, have a bigger role in the future. So far, the Dark Elves who play a part are only limited to that small circle.

@kisami Did the scolding not happen in the manga? Confusing that the other guy would go on rampage if he's already caught up, unless they're going WAY away from the source.

@Denkenisme What's more confusing for me is why there aren't any of the regular homunculi citizens around. Great that they were able to get the dark elves, but relying solely on them is a strange way to go.

Isla is awesome lol.
I didn't expect that her personality would be like this but it's really neat and I adore that she's voiced by Inoue Kikuko, the ultimate mama seiyuu.

This feels more like the halfway point to me. I'm hoping it gets an immediate second season announcement on episode 12. It just feels like this was supposed to be 2 cours if you know what I mean.

Okay. I have read the manga and I must say that Isla's, the Queen of Bugs, characteristics of her in this anime are intentionally underrated with the effects and the drawing of her. First of all, there is no such a bump as of her nose. It should be flat first, then as a bumpy nose. Second thing is the interactions and their heaviness. In the Manga, I believe the author gives more meaningful scenes for her. She is presented as strict as a mother as well as she is caring and maternal. However, in this episode. They deleted all the strictness of a caring strong mother that is a fundamental element of her personality and character. I normally do not write such things but she is my favourite character of the series and just deleting all the elements for the sake of making it are cruel acts that intentionally omit the author's will. It changes the character atmosphere differently, in which a less shown character is even drawn better than Isla even though she is one of the heroes of Mynoghra. In conclusion, I do not like even the slightest at all with this intention to "just draw her and that is it" Her skin is drawn so unattentively. How her skin shines like a metallic plate like a car? Moreover, there is no emotion in her eyes unlike the manga. I believe this adaptation should fix its ways of adapting. I can understand of its budget is limited, however; that is not an excuse for not doing as it was intended.
