@MuditRaj you could make those top three arguments about any anime, it’s all subjective opinion. Besides, if Toei were really using 40 year old Dragon Ball SFX on One Piece, why wouldn’t they use it on Dragon Ball instead to change bad decisions like CGI Shenron

that's not subjective bro if anybody have some knowledge about quality in terms of sound and animation they will not consider one piece anime little bit good in this areas and they are using old dragon ball SFX wanna see proof go on reddit or youtube search it regarding this you will find many clips and people complaining about this

this is very 3rd class anime adaptation that an anime can have toei is worst studio to ask a quality anime adaptation they are just selling nostalgia

Its about the slow pacing. The filler that every episode has. The filler is embedded in each episode. You can't skip it so it is worse than naruto or bleach where you can actually skip the fillers. Even if it is 60% filler, people can just skip it. But only if it is seperate episodes instead of every episode having the filler. It is fine for people who are caught up and have read the manga. They just want to see their favourite scenes animated. But it is just difficult for people who want to start watching it. You can tell new watchers to skip naruto fillers but new one piece watchers need to watch something like one pace which is literally a fan edit.

They should have stopped years ago, but it's not practical for them to stop now imho. Even with the shitty pacing, people still tune in to watch. In a perfect world they would only adapt a few episodes per year with better pacing and animation, then go on a hiatus for a few months, but alas. Also I think people are really overestimating the remake series that we barely even know anything about.

Also I had to laugh at that "One Piece is only 9% filler" crap. If you count up all the filler content including extended scenes from practically every episode, it's a hell of a lot more than just 9%.

do people forget this is an adaptation of the manga, not a 1:1. I'm fine with them adding or removing content as Long as it doesn't impede on the Canon lore or retcon odas vision for what the arc is supposed to be like. the only example that really pissed me off was when prometheus dove into the ocean for big mom in the anime but caught her in the air in the manga. ultimately it didn't matter either way but that was just egregious and a waste or time and animation talent. toei for the most part, at least recently, is very good at making the anime feel like the manga in fluid motion

One Piece is very popular right now, I don't know anyone who would want Toei to just stop production just to redo it again without a full adaption first.

there is no point talking about the remake as that is so far away that most people will not be invested in one piece anymore in the same sense especially after the manga is over which is when the fanbase goes away by a large amount as people move on (same thing happened with naruto and bleach, and even dragon ball, and these are the biggest anime ever together with one piece), and moreover nobody from current toei will be alive to see it reaching anywhere near where the current anime is, if anything the live action is the only one that is kinda relevant to new audience

regarding the current anime, they have no other choice based on what happened, it is extremely long because it is still using the outdated neverending weekly formula and on top of that it is using it on the longest running mainstream manga ever, in the past it had longer filler arcs but now instead it made the episodes being painfully slow paced and have random recaps every now and then, and the filler arcs are only 3-4 episodes inbetween arcs usually in promotion for the movies, their only solution is to stop completely after egghead and make it seasonal for the remaining arcs which i doubt that will happen

Filler ? There are like... only 70 filler eps in a 1100+ eps anime, wdym ?

@kookool17 One Piece had 70 filler episodes by episode 429 (just filler not even counting the other types). Currently it has 94 filler episodes, 43 semifiller, 21 anime canon episodes, and I'm not even considering the "manga canon" episodes that got longer because they are basically adapting one chapter per episode. So from all current 1142 episodes, 8% is filler, 3,7% is semifiller and 1,8% is anime canon.
