| Looks like I was right about things not being as they seem with Prince Clarke, tho I didn’t expect it to simply be because he wanted to make Leticia jealous, not that satisfying of an explanation but I do think it makes sense, Leticia seemed very robotic before she was freed from the engagement, maybe Clarke just wanted a reaction out of her to see her emote. And some folks are upset about Clarke just showing back up and saying the engagement wasn’t broke off, yeah it is kinda odd but this isn’t entirely on Clarke, if you recall Leticia kinda ran off without letting Clarke get a word in, she wouldn’t have made it this far if it weren’t for that lol, but I’m thinking Clarke is gonna let her keep this lifestyle based off his reaction to her interactions with the villagers, I hope so for Leticia’s sake. But with all the drama aside, this was actually a hilarious episode, the 4th wall breaks by Leticia keep catching me off guard but I think they’re pretty funny, I just wonder what it looks like to everyone around her when she does that lol. Leticia selling her brother to Brianna was also funny, I thought there was no way Brianna was letting Leticia go but I guess that was enough, but the funniest bit of all that really got me was when Leticia was colliding with Clarke in slow-mo, only for the speed to go back to normal as she takes an arm to the gut lol, I didn’t expect that. And last but not least, I loved the short fishing bit, definitely one of the best and most relaxing activities to do in nature, Leticia is one of my favorite waifus of the season just for that lol. |

I feel like the prince has been interested in her since childhood and wanted to see her be herself again (and wanted her to show interest in him). He saw her be herself again, but still no interest from her. That is an interesting viewport, thank you for sharing. (I know you didn’t tag me, I just happen to read it) I do agree she had no interest in any of that lifestyle, it was her parents that thrust this on to her for their benefit, claiming it was for her’s. I was so distracted with being annoyed at the brutal training she had to endure, that I might not have noticed him struggling to get to know her and being disheartened at his lack of progress, especially with her being disinterested. I should probably re-watch that first episode again to look from his perspective. I still think his “I’m trying to make you jealous, to get your attention”, is not a good way to handle this situation and it complicated so many things, giving here the false sense of freedom from that life as a queen. |
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating. |
| What was the point of ep1 and whole series? If we are back to square one and she still has no choice on life? Now they will just break her and bind her to that phony and boring prince. And even if she fells in love with him it would be more of stockholm syndrome rather than free choice. She was not allowed to meet other good men. She will have duties she never wanted to take. All for the sake of parents and country. How about saying "Folk off" and fighting for real? Like "You can force me for the queen position but I will make sure I will be the last widow queen standing on this country ruins". |
| I am so confused how so many aren't understanding what is going on even though so much is heavily implied and outright said explicitly for some other things. The marriage was an arranged political marriage it seems where the prince didnt have any more say than Leticia did. The prince did not try to make Leticia jealous, it's something he made up after the fact because after seeing her real personality that had been hidden under formalities he has become drawn to her and is trying to keep her around to get to know her and her know him better. It's a little annoying how pushy that is but I don't get the impression for sure he intends to actually force her to marry him. |

| Stop, this is actually really cute. I love all of the 4th wall-break moments <3 I think Clarke is going to slowly get Leticia to fall in love with him. The old hag is the issue bc Letty can't be herself when her personality is getting smoothered. Sheesh, this is only the second episode and EVERYONE is complaining about the prince. Its not really creepy because they never explicitly ended the engagement, Letty assumed it was over. Clarke wasn't trying to make her angry. The moment she was running away and hits Clarke's arm was fucking hilarious Is everyone here except a handful actually stupid? Y'all aren't paying attention to the damn anime if you're immediately resorting to anger. Kinda sad. |

| With Leticia gone, the princess lessons will have to still continue, and Arowana/Brianna is now taking the brunt of the lessons against Laila. Meanwhile, said girl with Lily is living the good life, and she even has 4th wall breaking Deadpool moments enjoying her life without Prince Clarke...until said Prince chooses to show up unnoticed and interrupt her time out in the woods. Being a noblewoman (who acts more like a commoner) certainly gets Leticia along with the village people, albeit VERY well, even with its village pet dog John. Still, Clarke doesn't really want to let go of Leticia, not just yet with the engagement still in effect, after seeing a different side of her. Even worse, her brother Nadir coming to clear the misunderstanding that Leticia did NOT hear Clarke ever mentioning one bit of breaking off the engagement, that it still stands, and everyone clamoring around the village mansion where she stayed, it's definitely a lot busier than she ever anticipated. And another escape goes secretly well, until Leticia is stopped by Arowana/Brianna along the way, and her attempting to sell her brother outright sure works the charm...if not for Clarke impeding her way once again. What will it take for Leticia to completely wipe her hands free from royalty at this point? |
