| well most attractive to me is lady oscar from rose of versailles but she's more "beautiful" in a bishounen/bifauxnen way instead of "cute" if its just for "cute" I think many magical girl protagonists like usagi from sailor moon, luchia from mermaid melody, amu from shugo chara and momoko from wedding peach are very cute~ I find georgie from lady georgie and candy from candy candy rather cute as well I love that retro shoujo look with the blonde curls ^_^ |

| After doing the shoujo filter thing to my list and a fast look through I'll go with this: Nana Komatsu from Nana. I like Nana Osaki more because of her added cool factor but for cuteness Komatsu wins. Iroha Igarashi from 3D Kanojo. Naho Takamiya from Orange. Tooru Honda from Fruits Basket. Yumi Fukuzawa from Maria-sama ga Miteru. Although Yumi's the protag and she's plenty cute, Shimako Toudou from the same anime is on another level (like, goddess level) but she's "just" a mc, not the protag. |

I'm really not a fan of shoujo. (I think I've dropped every one I've tried...) Buuuut, even though it's technically not shoujo, Kobato has a lot of hallmark traits of the "genre" or whatever you want to call it. The overall art style and presentation of the show is undeniably very "girly". But yeah anyway Kobato herself is definitely one of my favorites.
