If we're using the Asian definition of "overweight" set at a BMI of 23 I think it could work. Although 25 is considered simply "overweight" in the US it's considered "obese" in Japan. Only around 3% of Japanese people have a BMI over 30 while around 30% of Americans have a BMI that high. These girls are considered overweight in Japan but white people of that size would be completely healthy. I would watch it. I doubt it would have the same effect here, but it would still be fun to watch. |

| I don't typically like series that are "all-female" in the first place since they are usually moe shows that are just "meh" to me. However I doubt I would watch a show with all fat girls. The problem is more in the fact that the author felt the need to make them all fat, it is almost undoubtedly very strained and poorly written. Like that comic book writer that decided to make a series with a fat female lead, I wouldn't be caught dead reading it. It is just a gimmick marketed to a certain crowd that wants to pride themselves on being "tolerant", meanwhile the material is shitty. Having said that, if it turned out to be an amazing series, then sure I would give it a shot. |

| I would watch the shit out of a show like that. Think of all the material it could work with. I'm thinking of a show where the main character who's struggling to pay his way in the world, gets a full time job at a weight-loss clinic. There he meets a harem of morbidly obese women. There'll be the cute imouto character who wakes him up by jumping on his bed but oops, she shatters his spine in three different places. He can get closer to the tsundere character every week by giving her a sponge bath and cleaning out her bacteria infested folds of fat. There can be a character who actively persues the MC but the running gag is that she smells so terrible he can't stand to be near her so he runs, which she thinks is playing hard to get. Instead of the typical bathroom scene where the MC accidentally bursts in on a girl changing, he sees too much and is violently sick. Then the childhood friend character (who is also obese) who lives next door has to take care of him by making his meals, which are three courses long. He enjoys the huge portion meals so much he agrees to let her make his meals every day, and the MC slowly gets fatter until the last episode when he is equally as obese as the others and then in a display of 18+ horror, they all have a massive fat person orgy. |

| if the cast was mostly fat girls i'd be even more likely to watch it tbh as long as it's not played off for laughs and their characters aren't centered around being fat (that includes characters that love food) i honestly don't understand everyone saying things along the lines of "only if it had something to do with the story." it's just character design. there are plenty of shows that are meant to be realistic and have completely impossible designs that serve no purpose yet nobody has a fit about those. |
