| Im at ep 170 currently, so far i watched the fillers, because they had some manga material, and im a completionist, so i dont want to watch 1 ep from an arc, or half an ep. I see from this list that the last filler arc which got some manga material is the filler arc after the pain arc. Could someone who is at the newest ep/read the manga too if the fillers arc after that got any manga material? -I will eventually watch the fillers anyways but if they have 0 canon then i will just watch it once im done with the story. 2, Could someone tell me at what episode does the last arc start? |

Oooh, that's a hard question. The anime is not at the manga story's last arc yet, but if you just mean when did the 4th Ninja War start, that would be Episode 262. Honestly, there's a lot of stuff that happens before and after that, I'm not sure where you could pick it up from without missing something. But yes next episode is technically chapters 700, which is the END of the manga story line. Which will be aired today. The novels how ever make up a large part of the plot holes left behind after the war, so in a way its every bit canonical considering kishimoto is over seeing it all anyways, he's just not directly writing them but one of his key editors that worked on the canon story is. 478 "The Unison Sign" "Wakai no In" (和解の印) October 6, 2016 TBA 479 "Naruto Uzumaki!" But based off of what the ep titles look like, i would say Ep title "Naruto Uzumaki" is ch 700 cause that is the exact title name that was in the manga to. But there could be another scenario where the studio exhausts all novels, before animated ch 700 (the epilogue). But unless they trolled us but i don't think so. IN any case will know for sure in another 17 hrs. Oh and to "EVERYONE ELSE" I know i have written many blog entries and other such articles on Naruto and how to enjoy certain filler arcs and what not. Well now that my eyes are open and that I really see naruto for what it really is. I implore you, just don't waste your time. That is what this guide is for, follow it and believe me you will have a far more entertaining time watching this series. People often times say that they can just watch filler and pretend its not a part of the series and move on, but trust me when i say this. Watching all the padding/filler content can really hurt the impact and the over all structure of the show and how perceive things from the original canon story. The problems with naruto in general is the filler content derails so far from the main story, that it literally gives you a different perspective on certain characters or even some of the ways said characters are conveyed and at the very worst, the order of certain plot developments are just all screwed up. It really demoralizes what the author has written and it can screw with the way you see things. UPDATE: Well i just wanted to update this cause i just finished watching the episode. The episode titled Naruto Uzumaki was kind of missleading, it covered only ch 699. I was afraid this was going to happen but it looks like the studio is holding off on delivering the epilogue and climax. Instead they are going into another filler arc. Oh joy!! lol. But there ya have it. Like i originally thought the ch 700 may of been animated today given the title but i was wrong. So it maybe quite a while before we get ch 700 animated. Depending upon for how long these fillers go for. |

| Back again with another update and hopefully this will be my last one lol. First of all, one little minor mistake that you'll need to fix, episode 479 is every bit canon. The filler arc starts on 480. Skip 480-483 (filler) This next section is debatable on rather you consider it canon or not. Most people probably will because there adaptations of the novels. Kishimoto's present editor wrote them but the author has overseen everyone of them and they all fall in line chronologically to the narrative. But you can decide on how you want to present them in your list. Sasuke Shinden: Book of Sunrise (Arc) Ep 484-488 Shikamaru Hiden: A Cloud Drifting in Silent Darkness (Arc) Ep 489-493 Konoha Hiden: The Perfect Day for a Wedding (Arc) Ep 494-499 So far all that has been announced are these three novels, we do not know where the series is going to head from here. Some are speculating that it will end on 500 and they will use a double episode to adapt CH 700. But then on the other hand there are still novels that have not been adapted yet. We do know the Boruto story line is starting in "April" so what ever they do, they have to finish it by that deadline. Because the boruto story line takes place after the naruto manga and CH 700. Pick up at 500 Further updates will come when i know more |

| I put Shippuuden on hold 7 years ago but thanks to this topic I finally decided to pick it up again. I barely remember the story but I suppose it won't take long to get back in it I don't even know why I'm doing this to myself but thanks OP for this guide, and also for the Bleach one, I refused to watch it for years because of the fillers but then I stumbled upon the filler guide and decided to give it a chance |

| I just started to watch again to complete my naruto list, but I had to watch filler all the time. I actually want to skipped it, but it feels like I didn't completely finish the series if I didn't watch the filler too. I'm in a dilemma, damn it. |
